I'm confused as to the main lighting on the car I have to be honest.

If you go to http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/new/passat-estate-viii...

Then click > What's Included > Full Specification, scroll down and we get to:

- Front fog lights
- Gloss black pillar trim
- Headlight washers
- Heat insulating, tinted glass from B pillar backwards - 65%
- LED Premium Headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights and dynamic cornering light
- Loading edge protection in plastic
- Rear number plate lights incorporating LED technology

However if we go to configure the car, we can see the following:

- LED headlights £720
- LED premium headlights with dynamic cornering £1220

So I presume the Full standard specification is wrong, and the options list is right.

I presume we have to live with stty halogens. Anyone got one yet and comment on the lights? Maybe some pics of a standard one?

Yes we did have a conversation about it at the time - I guess I got my hopes up seeing the LED on the standard spec!

In other news my order status has updated this morning - build week 2nd May confirmed! party

3 to 4 weeks apparently.

Seen a few Urano B8s on the roads this week. They look good imo.

Typo edit.

Mine is at dealer, but not sure when I'll get a chance to pick it up.

They won't deliver to NI
They won't meet me with it at a port
They won't let me collect it unless it's during working hours Mon-Fri
They won't even deliver it to a friends address unless it's Mon-Fri, and they want then to sent their license in prior to delivery.......

Bit of a joke and any time I complain I get "we've got people queing up to take it if you don't want it".
That sounds shoddy - who is that through?

Also just had a phone-call to confirm that the car doesn't have LED headlights, contrary to "what's included" on the builder website!
Yes, bit of a misprint on their website. Included in the 'what's included' but the two different headlight upgrades are on the options list as expensive cost options.

ETA: and I've been following this thread because I missed out on the Alltrack deal; however, I've just ordered a big brother A6 Allroad on 3+23 at £337 per month having been on the lookout for something appealing since biggrin
Nice - only three times the price wink

What engine have you gone for?

The 272PS version. I thought it was only just over double the price, but then it is a much better car wink
What's PS?! Is that equivalent to the BiTDI or whatever it is, ie 235bhp or thereabouts? I believe there are removable undetectable tuning mods which can provide this level of power for the 190bhp version, and they're only £299. Not that I'd fit one to a lease vehicle of course. smile

The offer for the 190bhp DSG was 120pcm inc vat, so getting on for 3 times hehe

Ah, the three litre six. Nice engine - for a diseasel. wink

I'm hoping the NVH on the 4 pot won't be too bad, it's not too bad on my inlaws Golf GTD, I'm hoping the Passat will have a bit more soundproofing though. Either way it'll be a bit of a shock coming out of the V8...

I looked at the Alltrack on NVS's site today and it's £560/mth. eek
I don't get why they would do that. Surely 'normal' price on a 2 year lease would be around 350? So around 10k for 2 years?

Good videos there thumbup

Really like the colour. Interesting to hear about swirls, mine is coming from the same dealer, might ask them not to polish it.

Is that Urano? Looks very dark in those pics. Maybe it's one of those colours that look different in different lights?

The issue is that you can't get a straight answer from the VW dealers - and looking on the internet it seems most people are struggling.
I've just rang my local dealer, Sinclair in Cardiff. They said they would need my reg to confirm the exact media unit in the car, however they did say it should be possible as all Alltracks are capable of it. They wouldn't give a price as it has to come from the reg number when it's in the system.

Cool.

Also, anyone had their cars supplied by NVS/Lookers-Benfield Newcastle yet?
I think there's a guy on the HUKD thread who has. Was delivered on a dedicated single flatbed a few hundred miles down south.

Probably still worth it at that price but annoyed with myself that I didn't spec it originally.
Don't beat yourself up about it. None of us knew the spec would be locked in so quickly and the offer withdrawn so soon after initial quote. I suspect the amount of people who've got options is very small as a percentage.

Actually what have people paid then?

Mine was £1,800 upfront then £67 a month for the 190 DSG with zero options

Works out at £139.20 a month
128inc vat on a 3+23 for 8k miles a year. I think the NVS fee was 240. So amortised at £148 a month.
