I'm now flying to Newcastle, driving to Glasgow to stay the night with my wife (make up for buying a car without mentioning it to her until a couple of weeks later!), then down to Cairnryan.

Trying to find an interesting route from Newcastle to Glasgow as per here - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I don't get why they would do that. Surely 'normal' price on a 2 year lease would be around 350? So around 10k for 2 years?

I'm hoping it's so they can offer them at 75% off next week.

But it's probably just to piss me off. weeping

Got my confirmation today, car is now in transit, really looking forward to it. I've been telling people in work about the deal, they can't quit believe it as others are leasing as well so they know what ball park prices should be. I don't think we'll see the likes of this again, the alltrack was a freak event so really pleased to bag one. The only problem is that 2 years from now, we'll all have to either significantly up our monthly payments, or else, drive around in Volkswagen Up's smile

Well, it has to have been a cock-up rather than a freak event. The weird thing is VWFS apparently insisting it wasn't a mistake for a few hours - I guess that's why they felt they had to honour orders placed.

The thing I regret most is having Alltrack for a couple of years should give time for the diesel situation to become clearer. I really could do with changing my C Class Estate that I use for work and normally I'd just buy one, but I think putting £30-£40K into a diesel at the moment would be bonkers.

Mine is due to be built w/c 09th may. Looking forward to getting it.

Do they come with heated seats as standard? I've seen conflicting specs!

I don't think so.
They were on the option list.
Have you played with the VW configurator?

I had to add winter pack to get the heated seats, glad i added that option before they froze the specs!

A bit of a random thought....

With all us cheapskates going for the free Urano Grey,
which then merges into the body kit, some people have unsuccessfully tried changing the colour with VW and others have suggested wrapping the car.

How about this for possibly a really really terrible idea?

Wrapping the body kit in a contrasting colour?

Not sure what colour to suggest or how it would look though.

And no, I've not been drinking........

though I'm going to start soon. smile

I did that but it had not updated - I have found it very slow to update previously.

5 mins ago though, I just received a txt saying my car has left the factory. smile
