Just had an alert that my credit file has been searched - checked it to see what gives and it's VWFS. Thing is they already checked it at order time in early March - anyone know why they would do a second search? I'm also concerned they have checked it using my old address. Tried Sinclair VW Cardiff again but no joy, they are still unable to acknowledge I've ordered a car....so I assume it's someone else at VWFS but it's not much good if they are using an old address (irritating as I told CVL I'd changed address in March).

CVL currently non-responsive too. Not hugely impressed with the process and communication from broker or dealer. You'd think at this stage given someone is credit checking me for a second time, they'd at least acknowledge my existence. Getting twitchy as I've sold my old car!

Sorry about the untidy screenshot but this may help those looking to get app connect enabled. Some dealers claim it can't be done but I'm certain it can on our Alltracks.

I suspect the admin fee was hidden within my monthly, as my quote had jumped £10 per month from the advertise monthly on Contract hire and leasing that I contacted uchoose through and as there was a major rush to get the deal through I wasn't going to argue the toss.

With my deal only having 5k miles per year, it will be more expensive if I do 8000 miles than those others have quoted - think it amortised out at about £150 a month - still so cheap it doesn't really matter.

I meant to add that I read somewhere about it being a DVD/CD pack. Maybe you can buy the disk and just load it in to the car? Does it have a Cd/ DVD slot?

Its not that simple, IIRC the car needs connecting to the VW systems to authenticate the code/car on the DVD.

When my friend's golf was done it took the dealer a couple of attempts with VW UK assistance to complete it (it was their first car)

Order status updated to arrived in UK this morning, 7 days to dealer apparently. Apart from the initial approval form months ago, I've received no finance paperwork from NVS yet.

When did everyone else get theirs?

Finance docs were sent once the car was at the dealer

Received mine on 12/05.
Signed and returned.

Vehicle most likely waiting on PDI and delivery.

Once the car is physically with the dealer, then NVS will send the VWFS paperwork. You'll need to send the completed forms, your photo card driving licence and a recent utility bill (send it via next day, special delivery) to the dealer. They get the approval sorted, take the upfront payment and send this back to NVS who then sort delivery. I completed the process this Wednesday and my car comes next Tuesday. HTH

NVS gave me the wrong fking order number. The one i've been tracking is some other blokes.

They've given me my 'correct' one and it isn't even on the way to the UK now. Great!

Sent off all my paperwork. Not been too impressed with CVL though.

So I was curious, the lease will be in my name, but would it be possible to insure my wife as the policy holder? We do this with our current car which I have financed with VWFS (PCP).
