One of my DRL's on the passenger side isn't working. Only had the car about a month! Going to call VW today and hope they replace it under warranty. Guessing it's not a simple job knowing how difficult replacing bulbs in modern cars are!
Didn't realise these things even had DRLs - or are we referring to the front fogs which perform that function, not something separate on the headlight assembly?

That's exactly it, they are on all the time. Am I using the wrong terminology calling them DRLs?

Probably the correct terminology, I just always associate DRLs with those LED things you see closing fast in your rear view mirror, usually attached to the front of an Audi of some sort with a sweaty palmed corporate climber at the wheel.

Daytime running lights. Some cars just have their sidelights as the DRL's so doesn't need to be christmas tree lights.

Arrived this afternoon. Been out for 5 miles. Lovely car really, comfortable and pleasant to drive. Phone paired fine, stereo surprisingly good with plenty of bass which was a worry. Excellent DAB reception. Tech seems good. Turns out I do have car net after all... Looking forward to figuring it all out now!

Only niggle so far, is there a way to disable start stop?

I'd use it anyway on a leased car. Don't like the idea of stop/start on a car we own and might keep fairly long term though.

It's bloody irritating but good for mpg. If it were my car and not a lease, I would turn it off though.

Just been out for a spin on the motorway. What a great car! Refined, comfortable, fantastic range of adjustment on the driving position, adaptive cruise is excellent, found the bass levels on the stereo and am very impressed indeed, DAB didn't flicker once either.

120 a month! laugh

Bit surprised that a £35k car doesn't have a rain sensor for the wipers, my 14 yr old e39 and my partners mk6 golf has one...

Yes me too, however I've always preferred manual variable speed intermittent. I've never been 100% happy with the auto wipers on any of the cars that have had them.

That's really strange. I won't be getting mine until Tuesday but had expected it to have them as the brochure clearly states "rain sensor" in all models SE & above. If it's not for the wipers then what is it for?

Does the following pic help at all? Do you have the button in fig 118? It also says something about settings in Infotainment.

I'm sure mine has rain sensors. You put the stalk on intermittent. Just driven in a heavy downpour and the wipers came on without doing anything. My 5 year old even asked me if the car had those water sensor things....

There should be an option in the Vehicle Settings menu on the MIB to configure whether the rain sensor is enabled

I think if turned off that position on the stalk reverts to Intermittent wiping

Seems to be working on standard intermittent setting only so I'll have a delve into the infotainment and see if I can get it working

Just had a quick auto trader search. Pre-reg 190s available for 27k.

Saw this car on Auto Trader’s Android App. Thought you might be interested. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016...

Won't do residuals any good but could make things interesting in two years time when a glut hit the used market. If I gel with it it might make for quite a low price if we're given the option to buy.

Even if they're something silly like £15k I think the depreciation over the next 2yrs would be greater than the lease deal we all received.

Yep, silly me. Works well too.
