Amusing article today in the Daily Mail of a 108mph speeding "Golf R" (Just look at the rev counter)

Needs to have all his fingers broken with a brick hammer. Too harsh?

Perhaps a tad too harsh. I would have liked to see the Emergency braking work at that speed...Needs to have all his fingers broken with a brick hammer. Too harsh?

Revcounter only goes up to 5k in the video. It's a GTD at best.

Nope, thought I'd get it quite quickly but maybe as I am in the south of UK I am getting a different schedule via Sheerness or something...
I'm in Bucks, hopefully mine is already on a boat I'm one day behind you. I'm hoping it ships tomorrow, then will get the stage 6 text on Monday 30th. It to land at the dealership by 6th June and ready to collect by 13th June. Or I'm being way too optimistic and it won't arrive until the 1st of July.uuf361 said:
Has anyone with build week 23/5 had any notification yet saying build in progress etc ? (I haven't )
No notifications but I did a live chat yesterday morning and was told it is at stage 1 of 8 in production. Whether that means it is actually being built or parts are sat waiting I don't know. Out of interest, does anyone happen to know what the 8 production stages are? I should have asked but didn't think. MondyJim said:

I did another live chat and I'm still on stage 1 of 8. Yesterday they said "hopefully it'll be built by the end of the week", today I was told "hopefully it'll be built by next week" and that they allow the factory two weeks for a build. I hope it gets built soon, the waiting is driving me crazy!ayman82 said:

Give ALA a try. They offer discount for pistonheads members. ( PISTON12). Just do a search for their thread. Very helpful.
ALA were about double the price of GAP123 when I checked. (Including the discount)...Also I realise £20k of cover is a bit overkill but I'm always worried about stuff like that so for the difference of £5 or so a year I went with the recommended level of cover. oh well I'm covered now with insurance and plenty of GAP cover so I won't stress when I go to collect the car.
