Hmm. Yes, they checked with it. You'd hope they wouldn't confirm without definitive info, but will see.

What.... You were built w/c 23/5 and it's the new spec???
I'm also BW21 and asked live chat but they said MY2017 is only BW22 onwards and that they couldn't tell that BW21 cars had MY2017 updates.
VW live chat as follows....

You are now connected with Hariem

YouHello... my order number is xxxxxxxxxx19:22:17

HariemHi, you're through to Hariem at Volkswagen UK. I will be assisting you today.19:22:36

HariemI need to check this with the Sales Team, but they are unavailable at the moment. They work between the days and hours of Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. Would you like a call back on Tuesday (due to the bank holiday)?

Alternatively, you can contact your Retailer and they will be able to provide you with an update.19:23:28

YouOK.. I was hoping you could answer quesrtions regarding the car, as in what it will have on it - heated seats / nav - does that require contact with the sales team?19:24:09

HariemI can check this via the price list. Which model have you ordered?19:24:51

YouGolf R, est, DSG,,, with no optional extras... but I've heard news that they are changing the spec to make nav / heated seats as standard.. I'm just unsure as to whether my car has been included, or if it starts on cars built from a future date...?19:26:05

Youmy car was built w/c 23/5 and is currently in transit.19:26:33

HariemI'll check this based on the current price list. However, to confirm this I will need to speak to Sales who can check your vehicle specification and confirm if you have these features. I'll check our price list now.19:27:43

HariemTo confirm, do you have a Golf Estate R?19:28:16

Youok, thought I expect the CURRENT price list WILL have those spec, as that is what orders are placed for NOW... but mine was ordered a little while back and has been built this week. Yes, R estate 5door.19:28:47

HariemI understand but we have access to archive price lists so I will check this based on the order date you have provided. I'll be a few moments.19:29:39

Youthanks.19:29:51

HariemTo confirm, what month/date did you place your order?19:30:42

YouI can't confirm the exact date that the dealer submitted the order, as was done by email for a lease deal.19:31:36

You...I was hoping you'd have that info from my order number.19:31:48

HariemI'm sorry, I do not have access to the Sales Teams systems. Which month did you place the order?19:32:31

YouThe dealer provided me with the order number on 14/04/16, so will be close to that date.19:34:13

HariemOkay, thank you.

Based on the March price list, heated seats are not available on the Golf R Estate. However, the Discover Navigation System is standard on the Golf Estate R.

I will check the price list before this as well. 19:35:42

HariemThanks for waiting. The price list before this was the price list released May 12th 2015. Based on this price list, the Golf Estate R had heated front seats as standard and Discover Navigation System as standard.19:38:30

HariemI advise contacting us on Tuesday or I'd be happy to call you on Tuesday with confirmation as to whether your vehicle has heated front seats or not. Which do you prefer?19:39:40

You....Hmmm.. all sounds a little confusing, in as much as you tell me that in May 2015 heated seats and nav were standard, then in March 2016 heated seats no available and nav still standard?19:41:21

YouYes, i'd be very grateful for you to contact me back on Tuesday. I am working a night shift however, so can is it possible for a call late in the day? 0700000000000 19:42:00

HariemThat's correct. I'm not sure why factory decided to remove heated front seats as a standard item on this vehicle.

I will arrange a call for you on Tuesday with further information about your vehicle specification. Can I take your full name and contact number please?19:44:03

HariemMy Apologies, I can see that you have provided your contact number.19:44:19

HariemCan I take your full name please?19:44:30

Youthanks, Mr Marcus XXXXX.. Thanks for your service.19:44:52

HariemThank you Mr XXXXX I will be a few moments whilst I log this for you and provide you with a reference number.19:45:30
HariemThanks for waiting. This has been logged and your reference number is VW-2016/05-XXXXX. Should you wish to contact us regarding the matter please quote this.

What time would you like a call back on Tuesday Mr XXXXX?19:48:08

You6pm?19:48:15

HariemThat's fine. We are open till 8pm.
Is there anything else I can help you with today?19:49:10

Youno, thank you for your assistance. Much appreciated.19:49:22

I had Hariem earlier as my agent and he got a bunch of stuff wrong, including telling me my car was being built next week, when I know it is sat at the dealer and being delivered on Wednesday...

Good news here - had my weekly status update through from the dealers - build now confirmed as week 25 (provisional week was week 30) - so that is a bonus.

Hopefully the news will be similar for some of the others that are also waiting!

Just got to get my VXR Estate sold now, and will be looking forward to seeing how the two (similar BHP and weight on paper) compare on the road...
After the broker chased the dealer again on Thursday I got a text Friday morning confirming build week 25 which also means Nav and Winter Pack - woo hoo some good come out of all this waiting

Dealer reckons it will be with them between 11th and 18th July

I've just been on the chat and asked about the nav and winter pack and I was told they all come with the winter pack and it will 'definitely' have nav. This was by a chap named Luc. I gave my order number and he was very certain it would have both.

I tried again with the live chat and they asked the Sales team who said my car (built last week) was definitely MY2016 so would not have winter pack or nav

Does anyone know if these have a variable boot floor so that it can be lowered from the standard flat loading height?

Sadly, no, I took it on a 15 mile journey to 5-a-side last night, and tried to get above 30mpg!! Roads were busy, so thought I'd try. Failed.

Got a few bits to do today, but plan on going out for a blast later and will try and get a few more pics.

Mine has arrived at the dealer and should be available for collection soon - but I have no days free until the 14th.

Sad times frown

Nice pics above, thanks.

I had the same problem, I was on leave this week so have none coming up for a while so I've opted for delivery instead.

I had a look through the manual on Thursday night after I collected the car - it would appear that you can set the boot height lower, by removing some of the internal floor supoorts.

Anyone who's car is at stage 6 have a collection date yet?

Or does it have to be Stage 7 for that?

For me it was at stage 7 as the dealership needs to be certain it is on the premises, and I guess, not needing delivery repairs...

23/5 would have been a nice bonus but never mind.

I presumed that. Hopefully it won't!
Mine's being registered on 6th June. Presumably I can pick it up the day after?
