Not many ropes to show. Read the handbook in advance (download from VW web site). Find a quiet road or two. Build your confidence slowly in a variety of conditions. Job done.Website seems to be down for me, just want to know what boat my car was on

(sorry - I don't see the point of posting pics of a generic car in the bog standard colour)

Just got on the chat again and my car was on EMS Highway which is currently on it's way to Sweden after docking at Grimsby from Emden so I imagine my car has already been unloaded just the system is behind. I also asked a second time about the sat nav and winter pack and was told as follows:
"Sameen
Thank you for waiting. Your vehicle is model year 2016 and I can confirm the SAT Nav is a standard
feature in your vehicle."
That's the second person that has confirmed my car has sat nav so maybe it will actually have it...

Just spoke to the dealer who mine is ordered through and he reckons it's MY2016 too, which would make sense. W/c 23/5. Is now at the port.
Am going to stop worrying about it now and enjoy the 4 week wait in ignorance! Only fly in the ointment is I sold my car at a price I was very happy with way too fast, am carless!

I'm sure mine will not have these things (build week 09/05) but if it does then bonus. I think when I test drove a GTI in Dec the dealer said that they all now came with winter pack as std. I wonder why that wasn't rolled out earlier to the R estate? I wonder if the R hatch had it from December time or whether it is a MY2017 update for that variant too?I tried downloading an owners manual from the VW site. My reg no threw up an error message, as did using a reg I nicked off another car on the VW Used cars website.

Early build as in last week, or yesterday?Only cars from Build Week 22 would have any of the new features, as that is when the MY2017 model is put in place.
Anyone who's cars are being built this week will probably only get a notification of it being built on Wednesday at the earliest.
