I thought that even though tuning boxes don't leave the TD1 remap flag or whatever its called, evidence of tampering is still present as the ECU's record the higher boost pressures and/or throttle openings etc?
That's what I thought. I wouldn't need any more power. So wouldn't dare on a new car. Especially on a lease. aspirated said:

A ECU map that is flashed back to stock before going into the dealers won't leave a TD1 trace. AGK said:

Is this a good deal? 3 door R black GSD navi nappa heated seats.
£511/month. Nil deposit. 15,000 miles/pa including business use. Two years. Includes all servicing, tax, insurance. Just add fuel.
Thanks.
£720 for the extra mileage over the normal 10k that the Golf R lease deals have been at. Servicing approx. £400 over the two years. Maybe £600 with that mileage. VED normally included.£511/month. Nil deposit. 15,000 miles/pa including business use. Two years. Includes all servicing, tax, insurance. Just add fuel.
Thanks.
Leather is how much as an option? Navigation and heated seats is standard now I gather.
It does seem like a hell of a lot of money for pretty much just insurance over tthe stuff I've mentioned above. My insurance was only £434. And I'm only 24 in an okay area... I would say that's at least £3k more than anyone would want to pay for what you've specified above.

Are you speaking from experience?

Yes.What about this? http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/td1-warranty-...
I can only assume that the S3 you posted was not flashed with an OEM file but instead had the boost etc reduced to stock levels.
Saw my first other R Estate on the road today (and I've had mine for almost 3 months now)
I also managed to get the auto 'you're going to crash feature' to activate the other day and it put the ABS on - rather annoying, unnecessary (on this occasion) and overly sensitive (as a crash was not imminent at all) - might have to see if you get can make it less sensitive!

Getting back on subject...;)
My R Estate is due to start build this week according to the VW build tracker. Dangerously close to pressing F5 all day...
I'd speak to VW if I was you. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but mine was due to be built this week (WC 29/8) and I've been caught up in the delays so not sure when it's due to be built now. Emailed Nick at Vindis but he's on leave until Monday!

I spoke to VW and the dealer last week, and they both claimed that my order had not been delayed, but yes, I'm sceptical. Lots of delayed order stories on VWROC forum.Emailed Nick at Vindis but he's on leave until Monday!
