It will be 2 weeks I would have thought. It needs transporting and the PDI check carried out.

Yeah can imagine it'll take at least 2 weeks until I get the car, but we've been told that it can sit at the port in Emden for up to 2 weeks - I guess VW always give you the worst case scenario just in case

I saw a white estate in crantock today, quite jealous, but I'll have my red one within 3 weeks..... Did look good in white though.

I almost got it from Bedford, but I'm getting almost as good a deal from Stockport which is much closer and my mate works there.

Mine is now saying step 5 of 7 in transit.
Does anyone know how long roughly there's took from this stage??
Said mine was delayed hopefully things are moving now after all the parts issues they have had recently.

It can be up to almost 4 weeks, from the below you'll be able to tell I've spent far too long looking into this.

Stage 5a - this is getting from factory to port & the tracker shows 4 weeks to go. Can take up to 5 days.

Stage 5b - at the port waiting for a ship & the tracker shows 3 weeks to go. Can take up to 2 weeks to get on a boat.

Stage 5c - on the boat & the tracker shows 10 days to go. Should be about 24 hours at this stage.

Stage 6 - arrived in the UK & shows 7 days to go & can take up to that to get to the dealers.

All the above are maximums and it can be much quicker, just depends on how lucky you are I guess, ha.

Mine just went from 5b to 5c.

The good news is that the tracker seems to be a day behind, so if you're car isn't already here it will be soon.

A couple of questions:

1) Does anyone actually receive the texts or emails from the tracker? I registered my number and email address for it but have never received a single one of either

2) Regarding payments (have gone with the Vindis deal of £1500 then 23x £215), I've paid £500 up front (which seems to be on paperwork as delivery charge - assume that's delivery to dealer, not to me as I want to pick it up from Bedford), when do I pay the remaining £1k? Is that when I pick the car up, or at the end of the first month?

Nope not received 1 text or email either.

I don't have to pay my deposit till up to 2 weeks after I collect my car, which seems strange.

Never received any auto updates, dealer has done it instead to be fair. £1k due before delivery. 3 boats due to arrive in Grimsby from Emden in the next day or so, hopefully has a few Golf R 's on board

Does anybody know what's changed with the Facelift Golf R ?
I know it's Sat Nav, Heated seats, winter pack.
Is it the front bumper too! and will my 66 plate deffo be the Facelift model?

You'll get the extra kit you mentioned, but it won't be the facelift model as that's not due till the start of 2017, I thought?

is this for manual or auto?
3-dr or 5-dr?
I'm looking for the best deal around at the minute, as after a 3-dr with manual box, low deposit.
