Stage 6 for me as well today!
Do you think we'll be able to collect this week or next?
I have an FN2 type-r to get rid of now.
Tend to find that the text alerts are behind the actual statusDo you think we'll be able to collect this week or next?

I got my stage 6 for the Touareg on 22nd June and collected 24th
Better benchmark would probably be the paperwork, once posted by me vehicle was ready within 7 days

Off-topic question...
I've seen quite a few Golf R's (and s3's for that matter) with two sooty outer tail pipes and two shiny inner tailpipes.
Are two of them "fake"?
On the R Hatchback all 4 exhausts work, the 2 inner exhaust flaps open when you enter Race Mode. Otherwise they stay closed and won't become sooty.I've seen quite a few Golf R's (and s3's for that matter) with two sooty outer tail pipes and two shiny inner tailpipes.

On the R Estate only the 2 outer exhausts are active. The 2 inner exhausts are fake.

Does that include VAT? If so it's not bad pricing for the car in 'normal' times. Most people on this thread got a deal on same terms for a total cost of around £6.5k (on the estate), but that was in a moment of VW madness, who knows if it will ever be repeated....
Do you need to order a vehicle now or can you wait? If you can wait best to keep an eye on the Best Lease Deals Vol 2 thread in general gassing, every now and then you'll find a cracking deal.
If you order through a dealer you'll be expected to pay part of the initial rental as a deposit on order, with the balance payable at or around collection. How much often depends on your negotiating skills.
The advantage of using a dealer to beat broker prices is you generally get better communication during the order process and can avoid admin fees.

I' not desperate for one right now and I don't want an estate. I might nip up to my local VW dealer at the w/end to see what they say.

By all means, but your local VW dealer's fleet department probably won't work wk/ends - the best deals are usually via the fleet/commercial team rather than the retail sales guys. Worth a phone call on a weekday IMHO.I' not desperate for one right now and I don't want an estate. I might nip up to my local VW dealer at the w/end to see what they say.

They spoke to most of us on here! Some other manufatcurers can be funny by VW just want to shift cars at the moment. Doesn't have to be local either, as most will offer nationwide delivery. A few of us used Nick kealy @ VW Bedford 07912 480 980. Inky81 said:

Lol, ok. Just phoned my local VW dealer and spoke to a guy. I'm thinking the lassie at reception put me through to the general car sales department despite me asking for commercial sales. Got a meeting with him tomorrow, time will tell.I'm not really wanting to add many options but was thinking about the Lapiz Blue paint, the Car Net App option and the tech pack. Is the tech pack standard on the MY2017 build vehicles now or just the sat nav with bigger screen?

I went for pcp in the end - got one very like this coming in about 2 weeks
Black 5 door manual with 19s and leather (tec pack and winter pack standard now) Got a decent deal I think - local dealer matched Broadspeed price and the trade in figure was ok. By fluke they had a car of the exact spec I wanted already in the country so no 12 week wait

Scanned multiple pages here (search facility is crap) but probably not going back far enough.
Somebody posted a link to a boot lining(s) a while back.
Anybody remember if it was this thread or am i mistaking it for another thread.
