Hi all. I saw a deal for £191 pm including VAT for the estate version about a month ago. Unfortunately I was not ready to pull the trigger. Now I am. Does anyone know of any comparable deals out there?
None even close in terms of comparibility. It'd be pretty hard to swallow paying more for the estate. Hindsight is not always a nice thing...

Just thought I would post a quick question to all those now with their cars. Have any of you tried launch control yet?

I hit 1,000 miles last week so finally decided to give it a bash last night. Absolutely hilarious.

My neighbour came with me to have a go in the car for the first time and I think he was more than a little surprised at how an estate can launch itself down the road like that.

The car didn't seem to the launch in the same way on the 2 attempts we tried. The first it couldn't make up its mind where it wanted to sit in the rev range (hovering around 3.5 to 4k) but on the second attempt it held strongly at 4k revs and went off like a scalded cat. So not sure if I did anything wrong the first time but the 2nd felt like we nailed it.

Not something I intend to do very often but a brilliant party trick all the same. Would be interested to hear how others are getting on with their estates though.

Also, for anyone interested, I stumbled across this on YouTube. A timed run of a Golf R Estate (or variant) doing 0-100kph in 4.8secs. So pretty quick if the information is accurate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4I96a2fX5IY

Yeah the LC appears to be a bit inconsistent sometimes. I don't know if it's related to how hard you're pressing the brake or temperatures or what.

Sorted my GAP insurance out today (finally).

£53. Thanks to the peeps on this forumbeer

Had my car for 6 days now. Very pleased with it. Cabin is a lovely place to be.

It's a bit fast too!

380 miles on thr first tank but mostly motorway/A road miles with some hooning it up in the Lakes the other day.

Mileage drops significantly on the work runs (6-8 miles) but expected. Reckon 260-300 miles per tank is going to be the norm.

I ordered mine start of July (not sure when the actual order was placed for the car). Not got a build week yet but estimated delivery is Oct/Nov.

That's roughly how I feel.

Very targeted. Professional job according to the police. Been a few locally in the last week (specifically Golf R and Audis)

Annoying thing is I live on a cul-de-sac. There is no reason to pass the house so I guess I was either followed or they were hunting street by street.

That's terriblefrown

What part of the country are you in and how (keys stolen etc) did it happen?

Appreciate if you don't want to say.

North of Leeds / edge of dales. Forced entry through downstairs window. Only took the keys for Golf and 10 year old Audi, plus my keys for an MX5 - which we have had recovered so that they can't come back for it.

Police great so far, they suspect a gang in Bradford... there have been quite a few recently locally - S3, Golf R and Audis.

Jesus. That sucks

Got a mate who lives in Keighley who's got an S3 on order.

Might have to tell him to be on his guard!
