£286 - £255 = £31 x 26 = £806 for different wheels on a car you give back after two years!
Fair play if you think it's worth it!
I did some similar calculations when considering whether to specify metallic paint or not. I decided it wasn't worth it which is why my Golf R will be white!
For me wheels was a no brainer - get the 18's "for free", buy another set off ebay, then sell them on again when you're done. When the tyres are done on my new set, I'll put the 18's back on and use up those tyres before I give it back.

With regard to colour, I ordered white. Then I realised that I didn't like it in white, so ordered blue for an extra £35 per month. It was on the one hand hard to justify an extra £35 per month to rent the same car but in a different colour, but then I thought "hang on, I'm really in to cars. This Golf R is a steal, £35 a month is nothing if it means I like the car potentially a LOT more" - so I did it. Each to their own obvs.

I was tempted by the blue, but the point of going for my deal is that it was so cheap, so I resisted!

I wanted Lapiz but couldn't justify to myself the 17% increase in monthly payments just for the colour, and I've had at least one white for the last 10 years so am happy with the white......

I was looking at a 8k pa 3+23 5dr DSG +1k extras for 295pm on Monday, rang to confirm this morning and the deals have all been removed from the matrix, all the brokers I've contacted since are quoting 350+. Kicking myself for not ordering Monday now. Oh well live and learn.

Been offered a new one in same spec for 28k on a pcp (34.5k list) that I was tempted by but having seen the rumours of market flooding it doesn't hold up well for future values so I think I'm back to the drawing board.

(1st post from a long time lurker btw, hi folks)

As a percentage, 17% is MASSIVE just for colour but it has to be kept in perspective, it's not a Focus TDCI and it is only £35.

I'm not sure when I was scheduled. I was told week 36, but then was given two different dates for when that was, w/c 29th August or 5th September. Given I'm now being told I've been pushed back to start of October, I reckon week 36 is the w/c 5th September. Confused yet?? biggrin

I put in an order last week for a Manual Hatchback 5 door Metallic Night Blue - 6k/year - 10ppm overage on contract, but they said to renegotiate after 12 months if I do more - probably won't.

Only extra I added was Car-Net App-Connect, so -

£281.93/month 1+23 for 6,000 miles PA. £300 doc fee - so £7066.32 Total.

Delivery was set to mid November, but who knows with the new delays smile

Mine has been built and sat at the port in Germany since the 9th August... frustrating that the boat has done 3 trips since that date and its still in Germany

Agreed. Looks much better in the night blue imho but the deal was SO good the cost of paint had a disproportionate effect. I just couldn't justify a 10% premium for a colour. Ended up with boggo white, but my word, the colour is irrelevant when you get behind the wheel. For those of you still in build, it's worth the wait.

My deal included metallic paint so I went for the night blue colour, looks a nice contrast with the silver wing mirrors.

Not sure if srs...

Mapping a lease car doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

why not? The JB1 is a highly regarded plug-in box that can be removed without trace.

No trace whatsoever? It wouldn't leave any footprints on the ECU?

Sounds intriguing.

I'm not sure I need any more power though!
