Fitted rear spacers straight away too (fronts are apparently "in the post"):
Spacers?
Is that a standard thing or something you have fitted and assuming you mean to widen the track then is that necessary?

Car finally got off the train and is now awaiting a ship at the port of Emden!

Next phase, track the ship once I know it's on! Hopefully it doesn't sit for 2 weeks like VW say!
Same as mine, hope this ship hurries up
How are you guys tracking yours to that level of detail?

Something I've fitted as I think the wheels look like they're hiding!!

And mine smile Nick reckons should hopefully only be 2-3 weeks away now...I'm like a kid waiting for Xmas...and this is for a Golf, god knows what I'd be like if I ordered something exotic

Nice Lapiz blue estate well done!
Should have been getting mine this month on Lease. 5 dr hatch DSG in black. Says Build in progress. Told today 8-10 wk delay possibly 11.

😞 Volkswagon should be compensating customers for this. Ordered beginning of July.
No luck!!
Anyone experienced this news yet ??

Hi John,

I just spoke to Rich on Live Chat and he said my car has been loaded onto the ship today, the system hasn't been updated with which ship yet.

I'd imagine yours will be the same! Exciting times!!

Curiosity got the better of me, so just did a quick live chat - they told me mine is in Emden and arrived there last night so not in a boat yet, looks like mine is a bit behind yours...

Conflicting VW as always. Still awaiting ship allocation apparently now.

My R Estate arrived today to replace my 64 plate R hatch. Like the subtle little changes, such as the leather arm rest and door rests, plus sat nav and heated seats! Another two years of worry free motoring!

Shock horror the live chat lied to me!!

Still awaiting a boat.

Bit embarrassing that I started a chat this morning, and before I could say anything the agent said Hello Simon! Think I'll leave off the chat for a while haha!!

Could be a few Golf Rs on this one?

I have a 15 plate R hatch and it has the leather (well, leather-feeling) arm and door cards.

I missed out on the good deals early last year for the wife as she wanted a Merc GLA (underpowered tractor) but should have got an R instead.

The best deals at the time were coming from Peter Cooper VW I believe.

What is the best around now?

I see Select are £8719 total plus arrangement fee over 2 years/10k

Is there any better sources as that's about 2k more than the deals last year although I know they are long gone.

My mistake . I forgot to put three important letters in my post - DSG.

They are cheaper though at £8617 so thanks for the post.

I gave up today.

Mine was ordered end May and originally BW36 - 29/8.

After the Factory shut down this moved to BW 40 on 6th September. Asked for an update today and it's gone to BW 42 which is mid-October.

Spoke to National Fleet Services and I now have an M240i coming from stock - just got to wait for the 2 week cooling off period before delivery as I can't get to Birmingham to sign the docs in person.

£55 a month more but was losing faith with VW.

Mines arrived at the docks today, how long is it generally taking everyone to get on a boat? Hopefully not the up to 2 weeks quoted.......

I thought mine was at the docks earlier in the week but I was wrong.

Mine arrived there on Tuesday and is still there...I'm also hoping it won't take the full 2 weeks
