I'm not a fan of white cars, but that estate looks good in white. Very nice.

I want my midnight blue now. frown

Got ours on Friday night and promptly took it to Cornwall for a long weekend.

Have to say i'm impressed - particularly with the adaptive cruise control which made the 6hr drive almost relaxing.

Need to run it in a bit more and then explore Race mode properly on some country roads as it appeared quite stiffly sprung on the motorway. Its certainly got some poke and fuel consumption didn't seem too bad - but I am comparing it to an E60 M5 so anything appears good in comparison!

Its crazy how much is controlled through the infotainment system though. Many many menus of settings to get things just right - I shudder to think what happens if that ever goes wrong.

Also not sure how the gearbox modes are structured as it seems to have tiptronic (paddles or stick), D (automatic) and S (automatic but changes later up and earlier down).

Is there not a S tiptronic manual mode which would give you control via the paddles but speed up the changes (not that they are slow by any means)?

The paddles are tiny too - bit like a computer game steering wheel setup.

Only went for white as it was the only no-cost colour. Any other colour added between £35 to £65 pm to the lease cost, which given the low monthly, seemed to defeat the point!

The Driving Mode (Eco, Normal, Race, Individual) affects the speed of gear changes.

When in D move the gearstick to the left and you'll be in manual mode.

John, might be worth having a quick Live Chat session. I was told that my car left the port today so should be at the dealer this afternoon or tomorrow.

But, I take this with a pinch of salt as this came from Rich who told me my car was on a boat when it wasnt!

Two different agents, it must be right! Hopefully they do get there this afternoon and then PDI'd tomorrow, then collection Friday/Saturday!

I called Friday, so I think it's your turn.

Nice. Post up some pictures.

Anyone with Vehicle Savers and National heard anything about their car yet?
Nothing from National for me - each time I call I'm told there is an automated system for updates. I've had nothing from it. Anyone else?

Hi all,

Still waiting step 5 of 7 same for the last 2 wks! Crap!
I've been reading some of your comments about Gap insurance i ain't got it yet but just had a look on autoebid and done an online quote for just the basic DSG model say £33k £10,000 mile cover for 2 years lease deal saying £63 does this sound right is it £63 for a 2 year cover policy! And is it worth getting cover??

My other question is my car is getting delivered over 250 miles to me I've heard if you brake to heavy you can warp the brakes! Will my car be teararsed down to me by an enthusiastic delivery driver. Do I need to worry or do they drive them carefully??

Dealers use professional delivery drivers who drive all sorts of vehicles every day. Mine had 224 miles on the clock when it arrived in Surrey from Telford, at an average speed of 47mph and 32mpg. I wouldn't worry!
