Sorry to steal the picture from the start of the topic but I keep looking at it and cannot wait to get mine. I think it looks fantastic albeit mine will have the standard wheels which I am more than prepared to live with. As has been said before, 4 exhausts is a little silly but, for some reason, I think they sit a little better on the estate version (I am biased though!). My wife, on the other hand, thinks they look ridiculous but it's not her car.

Mine doesn't. She's a bigger petrolhead than me :-)
Brilliant variety of different responses from the wives then! Your wife, however, sounds like a keeper.I am determined to get my wife to appreciate performance/fast cars. So far, I have successfully managed to steer her away from SUVs but I fear that issue may crop up again in the future.

I would prefer two smaller ovals ala RS4.Also the inner two tips are not connected (aka fake). They stay clean and the outside ones get dirty.

They are connected, but have valves that are only open when the car is in race mode. If you drive about in normal or eco then they will stay closed.
They aren't on the estate sorry.Autocar says that they do though. " Select Race mode on the Driver Profile Select button and it opens up butterfly valves to bring the two outer exhausts into play. On top of this, a flap in the bulkhead opens to allow induction roar into the cabin."

Yep. I've stuck my head under the bumper Autocar says that they do though. " Select Race mode on the Driver Profile Select button and it opens up butterfly valves to bring the two outer exhausts into play. On top of this, a flap in the bulkhead opens to allow induction roar into the cabin."

Saying that the exhaust is supposed to sound better than the hatch. Just looks a bit crap with two shiny tips and two dirty ones.

No, they're not connected unfortunately. Someone posted a pic of them on PH (sorry, can't remember who or when) and there are only two actual exhaust outlets with four tips, as opposed to the hatch version which has four exhaust outlets controlled by a valve.
That is a shame. What is the reason for this? Surely the exhaust system should be identical? Isn't the engine identical?Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
