Who did those who got build notification this morning go through? Broker or direct to VW? Appreciate there's little correlation, just interested. I went through CVL and got notification of 23rd today.
I went through Inchcape VW in Chester. It took me an age to even get my order number off them. I'm not sure what everybody else has heard/been told but they told me that delivery should be 3 or 4 weeks from build week.rllmuk said:

I went through Horizon vehicle leasing - Red without any extra options.falconsfury said:
Didn't realise that about the exhaust which is quite annoying. My OCD will be in overdrive with 2 clean and 2 dirty exhaust tips. It wouldn't have been difficult for VW to change the design to make all 4 work.
I wish VW had used a single pipe or the same system as the hatch, however the the issue does not bother me. It is one heck of a good family car.My car has 5,500 miles, here is the result. I'm not one to wash cars regularly so this is a good 8 weeks worth of dirt.
I am the father of 16 month old twins hence the estate. Here is a pic from last autumn fully loaded up with baby gear - love it love it love it. Performance and practicality.

I've told the misses that I am getting a Golf estate and it will arrive in June. She thinks I am being very sensible and is worried I will be bored of this in no time at all and can not actually believe I am going this sensible.
When the car arrives I shall have it parked up against the house so she will not see the exhausts when she gets back from work. When we go out in the car I shall always be opening the door for her and try to never let her look at the back of the car. This couple with putting the car in Eco mode should hopefully convince her that it is indeed a plan golf estate. She also likes white cars so hoping there shall be no issues for the duration of the lease!

I'm loving your proper use of the estate version. I'm going to show the wife this later as we are expecting our 1st only a few weeks after my R is like to arrive. As such, I think this may help her to see why it was a "sensible" choice. My car has 5,500 miles, here is the result. I'm not one to wash cars regularly so this is a good 8 weeks worth of dirt.

Useful stat for you: it's marginally bigger than the A4 Avant for load space.Vaud said:

Mine is also being built on 23rd May…
I remember reading something in the best leasedeal forum about build weeks for the golf and reading something about a slightly new design starting from a particular build week. Does anybody else know about this?
Nothing major, a few interior changes like the lock on the glovebox getting taken away and the way the rear view mirror is mounted is changing. I think there was software changes too giving g-force meter and boost gauge. There was a list some where in this thread I think.I remember reading something in the best leasedeal forum about build weeks for the golf and reading something about a slightly new design starting from a particular build week.
