Yea.... That sounds like the thing I was reading about. Does anyone have more details.... And whether us lot (23/5) build week have the revised version?
If you look on the VWROC forum I think there is a thread there which covers it. Sorry, cannot link!http://www.vwroc.com/forums/topic/13410-my2017-cha...
Sat in another showroom R at Milton Keynes VW today - very nice, can't wait to actually drive it
They had a Limestone R estate there too - looks very nice in that colour with the 19inch prets.
The used Lapiz blue hatch they had was terribly swirly - would drive me mad trying to keep that looking nice without those horrible marks. Nice colour , but needs a pro detail to seal it and keep it looking good I would say.

I saw they have the limestone in stock on their website, just shy of £30k...
I might have to go there and have a look around.

I wish VW had used a single pipe or the same system as the hatch, however the the issue does not bother me. It is one heck of a good family car.
My car has 5,500 miles, here is the result. I'm not one to wash cars regularly so this is a good 8 weeks worth of dirt.
I had read that a valve opens up on the other 2 exhausts but only when in Race mode. Anyone know if that's true or are they completely for show.My car has 5,500 miles, here is the result. I'm not one to wash cars regularly so this is a good 8 weeks worth of dirt.

Those tips aren't connected to the actual pipe, you can see daylight through them.....
Fair enough, this was the review that mentioned it http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/motori...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQ5oOSujZGM
White R Estate, being driven fairly briskly. Sounds like Rice Crispies at 2mins 50sec, not sure how genuine/artificial those noises are.........

Blimey! The order tracker had my car on build week confirmed 02/05 and this morning has jumped to "In Transit"
Auto-email from VW says "Your order status has been updated. Your car has been built and has now left the factory. On average it takes 4 weeks from build for this model to reach your local Volkswagen Retailer."
Excellent :-)

Blimey indeed - that was a quick build, but to be fair, I am not sure how long it actually takes to put one together?Auto-email from VW says "Your order status has been updated. The paint must be drying in the container on the way over

Good question! The paint must be drying in the container on the way over
A quick Google finds this from Toyota: "The process of making a car can be roughly divided into stamping, welding, painting, assembly and inspections, which takes about 17-18 hours in total. (It varies according to the number of cars made by a factory.) When we consider that each car is made of about 30,000 parts, each of which takes time to produce, the time it takes to build a car is quite long."
and VW: "It depends on a lot of factors, but to give you some idea it takes around 30 hours to build a Golf, split over two to four days."

Same here, I got a text at about 7.30 saying its in transit. Quite exciting - I've never had a new car before (even if I am really just renting it).Auto-email from VW says "Your order status has been updated. Mine hasn't even moved from processing yet! Highly frustrating seeing everyone else car progress.
