Oh and...

Milltek 100 Cell Sports Cat w/3" downpipe
Milltek non-res exhaust from the cat back
Forge DV Spacer
Forge Pressure Related DV
Carbonio CAI and Pannel Filter
Forge Twin Intercooler (Almost new!) with all hoses and fittings
REVO map

and then...

"This morning, Seat UK formally confirmed that the car's warranty on the ECU and Engine is void. They are not prepared to investigate the matter any further, believeing the REVO code, and that alone is the cause of the ECU's inability to communicate with the rest of the car, and VAGCOM. Furthermore, they have cancelled the breakdown assistance for the vehicle too, as it has been substantially altered outside of the original spec. They said that any further breakdown on the car is highly unlikley going to be atributed to the OE hardware in the car, and is due to the engine running outside of the recommended spec.

The vehice is under a contracted finance agreement also, and they also believe I have broken the terms of that contract, and have demanded payment in full within 28 days for the outstanding balance, or the goods returned to them in original condition (fair wear and tear excluded). I have asked for written proof of this by Friday.

They have also cancelled and taken back the hire car"

and then, "Studying my pre-contract info for the car does state that alterations are not permitted, and car has to be in fully saleable condition. They may have me there then, but I will most likley challenge this."

I don't call many people idiots, but somewhere there is a village missing it's idiot.

I did LOL at the comment along the lines of "who reads any agreement paperwork properly anyway?"

Always someone who knows better. What makes it even funnier it was a faulty relay that caused the issue and nothing to do with his modifications lol

Looked like it was a known common problem with a relay and fuel pump.

Interestingly, i was talking to a VW service chap a while ago and we got onto the subject of mods and remaps.

He said that Revo were the ones to have, and that they have never had an issue with vehicles in for warranty work when they have been mapped and needed a claim putting in.

I did say to him that i thought with all warranty claims, they had to be authorised on the fly by VAG, but it appears they don't.

Not sure tbh.

I have the same build week and received the 5a update yesterday.

It could be up to next Tuesday until you get yours.

My car wasn't built until Friday afternoon last week, and I got the 5a In Transit text message at 08:15 on Saturday morning. As the text updates are notoriously out of date, I think mine was shipped off to Emden Port almost immediately after being built.

ETA: There was no Stage 4 (Built) message at all, I went from Scheduled to In Transit which I understand is common.

I would imagine most of the cars built in a given week would end up on the same ship to UK in the end anyway.

Someone from the HUKD thread received the 5a text with a build week of 09-05-2016 on Tuesday morning. So it's possible for any time around then...

My build week was 09/05, VW confirmed it was at Emden on 13/05. Nothing since! Think someone else on here I'm sure had same build week but has had notification theirs had already shipped??

Edit: Chas88 reported his/hers as being in the UK! Any update?

Agreed, the point being that the text updates are unreliable and no indication of where the car is. The only way to know for sure is to ask VW on the live chat.

Indeed. I just checked. Mine has been at the port for 2 days awaiting a ship allocation. They anticipate it should always wait less than 10 days at port.

I've tried to go on their live chat, as just curious. It seems to be inundated with current chats that it's stating to check back in a few minutes every time I go on there... frown

Not sure whether it assists but I had 09/05 build date as well and received the in transit text (5a of 7) on 13th May as well. However, as a welcome surprise, I receive the "shipping" text (5b of 7) first thing this morning (approx. 8am).

Hopefully others on here awaiting shipping details will hear shortly as well.

Thanks. I didn't sign up for texts just emails so not sure I get the same frequency of updates or level of detail. Did the shipping text just say yours has left the port?

Same frequency but a lot more detail in the emails - the text alerts just say:

"Your Golf Estate order no.12345678 has progressed to stage x of 7 (in transit etc.). To STOP login to vw.co.uk"

It seems there is one ship going Grimsby every two days, and it looks like the R Estates are built in Zwickau. Trains to Emden from Zwickau can take up to 12 hours.

See here for the vehicle carrier crossings: http://www.portarrivals.com/list.asp?sec=Port&...

I've just spoken to VW LiveChat (I was curious!) and my order is on the way to the port and can take up to 2 days, then will be scanned when it gets to the port. Then can be up to 10 days waiting for an available crossing, which as above seem to be every two days.

I've estimated a collection date of approx 20th June, but if it takes ages waiting for a ship at the port, it may take longer.

Hope this helps someone - especially if they're as anxious about this as I am!

Mine says awaiting clearance and transportation to retailer. It says it normally takes 7 days so I'm hoping it will reach the dealer next week and then be prepped etc for collection the week after. Mine has been quite speedy since the build week of 09/05 so hopefully it will continue.
