Dealer just advised that they will investigate 'immediately' watch this space.....
Investigating the status of your order or the ability for you to cancel without any payment?Looking at this thread:

Audi also reserved the right to cancel if they can't deliver...?

I ordered through Cheltenham VW as well. I am on stage 2 with a provisional build week of 25th July! I think the deal is worth holding out for though. Part of the fun is the anticipation for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0hF8wgRsGw
...just in case you've not already seen it. I wonder if VW will let us pay an upgrade from cargo ship to speed boat?!

I ordered a Golf R this week and I really wish I added app-connect as an option. Are lease companies generally flexible when it comes to adding options shortly after the contract is signed? There is no order number yet and the guy I was dealing with is off on leave so need to wait until next week before I make the request.

I had this very same issue, tried to order the app connect the day after the order was confirmed
Broker was happy to do it but VW dealer refused, laughable when the car has still not got a production slot at the factory 7 weeks on!
Ah, that sucks. Apparently app-connect isn't retrofit-able on Golf R's Broker was happy to do it but VW dealer refused, laughable when the car has still not got a production slot at the factory 7 weeks on!

If they are now at build date of 25 July then I may have to cancel mine. Eta for mine was June when ordered and that should be enough for me to cancel FOC
Not happy
That's the problem with all these cheapo poverty lease deals. It's always the same dealer groups who slit their throats financially to get the meagre profit they make, in doing so use all their quota up and then get grumpy customers. Not happy
Good news here - had my weekly status update through from the dealers - build now confirmed as week 25 (provisional week was week 30) - so that is a bonus.
Hopefully the news will be similar for some of the others that are also waiting!
Just got to get my VXR Estate sold now, and will be looking forward to seeing how the two (similar BHP and weight on paper) compare on the road...

Sounds promising!! Hopefully the update texts from VW aren't far away. I'm off to Florida on June 23rd so that would work in well as I wouldn't have long to wait when I get back. Fingers crossed.Hopefully the news will be similar for some of the others that are also waiting!

Awesome, does that mean then that app-connect can be retro-fitted? http://www.vwroc.com/forums/topic/14093-r-specific...
