Lucky guys, I was a bit frustrated to read this last night as I would have liked sat nav, but as I have App Connect I'll make do.

I guess this makes the wait worth it for those with a later BW.

Picking mine up today.. didn't want a scrote driving it cross country to deliver so making my way over to Telford this afternoon.. it'll be an interesting, and long drive home!

Today's the day for me. Bit gutted no Nav or Winter Pack for me, but I'm sure I will manage.

Having never even say in a new Golf, let alone driven an R, I am really looking forward to it.

Got my 5B this morning. Getting even more excited. Shame about the discover nav and winter pack as mime was build week 21

Just got my Stage 6
Ship docked yesterday and unloaded within a day. Happy with that.
Might even be able to pick it up in two weeks.

That seems a long time, my brothers Scirocco was stage 6 on Tuesday and he's picking it up from the dealer next Tuesday.

Build Week 20th June received here this morning as well.

Question: Given the above build week, any ideas (approx) on the general length of time to go from build week to actually getting the car.

Is a month too optimistic?

Hmmm, that would be lovely. But I doubt it would be that fast. It says up to 7 days to get to the dealer, and I'd add 7 days to that for the PDI.

It's probably about right.

I had build week 16th May and got the 5c (near the UK) update today, which is Friday of the week following build week. I'm slightly hoping I may get the car next week but it's more likely the week after that which, would be 4 weeks.

My B/W was 16th May. I'm now at stage 6 (arrived in the UK)

Timeline was -

Order date - 7th April 2016
Build Week Confirmed - 22nd April 2016
Build Week Commences - 16th May 2016
In Transit - Stage 5a - 18th May 2016
Shipping (at Emden) - Stage 5b - 21st May 2016
Near the UK (On a Boat) - Stage 5c - 26th May 2016
In the UK (Unloaded) - Stage 6 - 27th May 2016

I think a month is a tad optimistic.

28th of July would make it 16 weeks which is what they estimated so it it looks like they won't be late on their promise.

Week or so early will be a bonus.

No worries

It's possible, but very unlikely!

Unless you meant a month from the build week!

It's possible that your car is built on the last day of the week, and you get your stage 5a on the Tuesday of the following week.
It might take ages, it might take a couple of weeks!

Yup. A month from the build week (20th June).

If I get it 20th July, that's only 4 weeks without a car instead of what I thought would be 5.
