Nice.

Two estate cars?
Like to move a lot of crap around but thought, "I would like to move all this crap about, but at a much higher speed and safely in winter too"?

Impatience....

My car is stage 6/7 and has been for several days.

Spoke to dealer on Monday and they said car should be with them by the end of this week.

Have sent VWFS paperwork back on Wednesday all signed and sorted.

What happens next? They've already said it needs to be delivered instead of collected.... So do I just have to cross my legs and wait for a phone call to say they are ready to arrange a date?

I think I may have seen you last night near Stoke Mandeville hospital turning towards Aylesbury. If not you, then almost certainly someone else from this site??

Picked mine up on Wednesday. Only done around 40 miles in it so far but it's lovely.

I tried hard to steer clear from giving it the beans but drove from Aylesbury to Chalfont yesterday (a route which those based locally may know is perfect for opening the taps slightly) and simply couldn't resist stretching her legs.

Love the car, the performance and, so far at least, the noise it makes. It sounds so completely different to the GTI. Big thumbs up from me and definitely worth the wait.

Will be another (white) one arriving in Aylesbury this afternoon biggrin

Did you get yours delivered or did you pick it up - were you dealing David East at MK VW?

Just noticed, yours is HCC mine is HCD - hope you don't park in Aylesbury too often, can see myself standing next to your car wondering why the bloody doors wont open!

That really is a similar reg. I'm kind of hoping I do see your car parked up so I can park next to you for a cheeky photo.

Yep, I chose to pick mine up from Aylesbury VW in the end as I could choose the time and get myself done there when ready.

David was really nice and very helpful albeit he didn't need to show me much as we have another Mk7 Golf on the drive anyway.

Look forward to seeing you around. What part of Aylesbury are you based? I'm on the new development next door to Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

The 5 series is the old car - 530i Touring - still pretty quick and sounds lovely. I've sold it to my brother as I'm crap at shifting cars.
Hopefully it'll be off the drive in a couple of weeks smile

It most probably was me, I was with a friend who lives just off Fuggle drive (such a ridiculous name that always makes me chuckle for no reason).

I didn't recalls seeing any other R estates. I was probably just enjoying the smoothness of the drive!

Your white one looks lovely! Still prefer the red though biggrin

We should all meet up one day and compare Launch Control times at the traffic lights near the college...

I picked mine up from Kettering - so a nice smooth drive back through Buckingham/Padbury/Adstock/Winslow was great smile
The road next to the Addington Verney Junction turning is great smile

I meant to ask if you'd spotted the orange Mustang - Plate MU16TNG I think - looks lovely biggrin Unfortunately it's an Ecoboost though frown
