I picked up mine, coming up to a month ago now. We only get one option here in Australia, which is the sunroof and I got a stock car in carbon grey with the roof. I wouldn't have a car without one nowadays.
Unfortuantely we don't get the bucket seats here, which sucks. So far the only changes that I've made, are getting the front two windows (including the two quarter panels) tinted to match the rear privacy glass, ordered some folding mirrors with puddle lights and I'm getting a JB1, which should arrive today to fit.
It's my first Golf and it is a great car and the handling is spot on and more fun and engaging than a Golf "R".

I had one of these as an Avis Prestige hire car last weekend. Liked it a lot.
Pros: seats are lovely. Nice ergonomics. Fast off the mark. Very linear power delivery with good shove from low down (last Golf I drive was probably a mk2 16V - no wringing it past 4500 rpm to get going here). Flat as a millpond through fast corners. Ride good though - comfortable and no hint of jarring/crashing. Great build quality. Topped out at 254kmh on the autobahn. Still pulling but not hugely. Unrestricted top speed can't be much over 160mph I'd guess. Didn't notice the power boost but didn't spend much time on back roads. Very chuckable when I did though. Loads of space in the rear with the seats down (swallowed my road bike box easily with some more luggage too). Looks very good and aggressive without looking Halfords (mine was white).
Cons: the ICE/sat nav thing is quite complicated, even having used a few. Lots of options and lots of menus. The exhaust note sounds slightly clattery when cold at low speeds - I thought a couple of times it sounded a bit like a diesel, but maybe that's unfair as I've not driven a 4 cyl in a long time. Fuel tank is a bit little - maybe 55-60l, and I was getting just over 300km a tank with hard autobahning.
But a lot more pros than cons. If you've got one on order, I think you'll enjoy it.

Great choice the JB1, almost as good as a proper stage 1 remap without any of the negatives.Unfortuantely we don't get the bucket seats here, which sucks. shame about the seats, but to he fair the originals are also fantastic and the buckets are really just a aesthetic upgrade.
Really pleased with it. From my drive yesterday it's quieter than my edition 35 on the roll - wind noise, tyre noise etc, the exhaust and induction noise is greater - happy with that as the 35 was too quiet. Not as loud as a Mk7 R though which is a shame.
Where it really excels though is its way more playful. Much much sharper than any other golf on turn in and just feels nimble and exciting to drive round the twisty bits. Not sure if other mk7s get it but it's got a sports setting for traction and stability control too, guessing it would give a little more playfulness to lift off oversteer and a bit more angle before it reins it in. I've seen some video of them on track with the back end out.
The performance monitor is quite novel as well as the lap timer which I didn't know it had.

Looks amazing.
A proper bit of kit.
Last update I had on ours is that it is "In transit, near the UK".
Perhaps the wind is blowing the wrong way off Grimsby or something.
What number is yours on the plaque?
Thanks, I found the Volkswagen tracker about 5 days behind or thereabouts and it never sent me email or text reminders of progress. A proper bit of kit.
