Hi all long time lurker here (much longer than my account would suggest). biggrin Anyway onto the reason for the post which is that my dad's car (Audi C6 auto) has a stalling issue. Occasionally when pulling off the car will stall and cut out. The car has been booked in for a check but I wanted to know if this is likely to be an expensive issue or a rather simple fix.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Edit:
With my first ever post on PH I have managed to fcensoredk up the title and I don't know how to change it. Should read advice not advise. boxedin

Could be the potentiometer (throttle sensor). I'd an audi a number of years ago and it would do this - it wasnt matching the revs to those that were required to move off and it stalled.

Was a cheap fix smile

Similar happens with a faulty TPS on mr2's. A workaround is to unplug it. Try that?
