I did on 9th September.

A week or 2 ago Jason advised mid to end of November delivery, and still in Dynamic Grey as mine was ordered before that kicked off.

I'm not too desperate other than general excitement of shiny new thing, as I have used of a car til mid January.

And if it did end up being white instead of grey, life would go on for me.

I'm B/W 43 from an original 38. If I go to 47/48, I won't be best pleased.

Edit: Yup, build week 47. That's nearly 10 weeks after the date I was told. Need to contact my lease company, this isn't good enough.

Just spoken to Jason at Stoneacre. Mine was build week 44 (which was last week I believe) and it looks like mine just managed to get through before the issues kicked off with Dynamic Grey availability.

Should be arriving in the UK be a mid to late November delivery now... Fingers crossed.

Sold the Alpina D3 so now without a rapid wagon... I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas now!!!

B/W 44 is next week. Must have got a cancelled order build number. Either way, lucky you.

Reading about the delays prompted me to call SEAT for an update.

They've advised that my car has gone into production today. Finally seems like some progress on my order.

Looks like my entry on the table has been disappeared but I ordered on 21st July for anyone interested.

Another month or so to get to the dealers but been told to call back next week for timescales.

Nothing to do with the final build week, its when your order went to status 10 that decides if you got the Dynamic Grey ordered (or not!) - the deadline was September 1 apparently.

Sounds almost identical to mine - when did you order yours? Mine was 9th September.

Judging by our relatively short order-to-delivery times, I can only assume;

- Seat Peterborough had some build slots already ordered that have physically turned into our cars
- or we will receive bad news in due course, delays, no dynamic grey etc

Hopefully the former!

Has anyone had an update from CVL/DM KEITH, in regards to the millage charges?

I spoke to DM Keith on Friday afternoon asking where my car was. Gary said it was there at the dealership. He said that CVL had been pushing them hard for customer updates as well. He said the delay in getting finance docs out was due to the vwfs mileage charge change and that they were working to get it resolved for us. When I asked him for a rough delivery date he said about a week hopefully, depending on availability of drivers to bring it to me. He said the other option, because I'm only 100 or so miles from Leeds was for me to get the train down and someone would pick me up and I could drive it home with a full tank of fuel. Think I'll take the train option as it was only £30 for a train to Leeds.

Getting back to your question, he said he expected to hear back sometime today or tomorrow regarding an answer from vwfs.

More waiting for us I guess

I get the impression from Jason that they did placed a few orders without actual customers attached to them. So the build slots were already in play... I hope smile

Firstly apologies for the off topic post, but does anyone who has already taken delivery of their Cupra know what the Seat recommended winter wheel / tyre size is (as per usual door sticker)?

Thanks,

Quite annoying that you can't fully disable the ESC / traction control. Does anyone else find it makes a really loud banging noise when it kicks in? First time it happened I thought the drive shaft was broken!

I have now accepted a full tank of fuel (instead of a change to the mileage charges on the contract) as a goodwill gesture from Gary at DM Keith, as there seems to be no answer from VWFS on what they intend to do. A full tank will probably net out at about the same over two years if I go over by 2000-3000 miles.

That's a big fuel tank.

Thanks,
I haven't got mine yet but the winter tyre size should be the same as the summer tyre size probably. They're 235/35R19. I've been pricing winter tyres myself and that is the size I put in to the online search on tyre websites. Hope this helps.

Full tank would be a max of 75 quid...

Mileage charge of 8.3p per mile would make 1000 miles £83.. vs 72 quid originally

So the difference in 1000 miles is 11quid...

75/11 is around 7k miles extra by my calculations!?
