The Cupra (Black) Lease thread

I emailed Craig from CVL earlier to ask if he could get in touch with Gary from DM Keith to find out what the hold up was with my car. I called Gary last Friday and he told me the car is sitting at the dealership. Craig from CVL replied and told me that they had not had a delivery offer from DM Keith yet but would contact him and get back to me.

Getting really effed off now with the whole situation especially as I'll have another 2 week cooling off period to wait after the finance docs are signed. Surely this is a DM Keith issue as nothing can happen until they send the finance docs to CVL.

On a lighter note I spotted a 66 plate ice silver Cupra 290 black edition in the car park at one of my companies sites in Greenford, London. The number plates said Wessex Fleet on them and it must've been quite new as the white lines were still on the rear tyres. It looked amazing.

Also, for those who ordered from Carly at Lookers and have signed finance docs, any problems with the excess mileage charge like others are reporting?

Thanks dude and no problem. I've ordered with Carly but not heard of any incidents relating to that (as it's direct with SEAT I suppose). I also have it in writing from her so I'm quite comfortable that they'll have to honour it - but it would be good know I suppose!

If I'm honest - Quite muted but I guess that is why they reworked the exhaust on the 290. As a 280, on start up it was quiet and even at full chatter it was more of an engine/induction noise than exhaust. It didn't sound bad by any stretch. Also the cabin is fairly quiet so perhaps it's louder to the people outside?

It was plenty quick though. You can be at 3 digit figures very quickly indeed if you aren't concentrating!

Thanks for the info and glad its quick. They only reworked the exhaust on the 3/5 door 290 versions but I'm hoping the 290ST has at least a slight improvement over the 280ST. DSG should help too!

No worries fella, a friend of mine ordered his through the same dealer 6 days after me and he's getting his 1 week before me! It seems to be pretty inconsistent. Do you have a confirmed build week?

Picking car up from Leeds branch on Wednesday as I'm away now till then..

My car went into production on Monday and left the factory today.

Expected in the U.K. within 10 days

Awesome news! Not jealous much! Mine goes into production around the middle of November so I've still got a good 6 weeks before pick up! :-(

Monsoon looks really nice

On the noise front, the wife went out in it earlier, from in the house I used to hear the drone of my mk2 streets away, I didn't even know she had come back in the cupra it was that quiet. Soundaktor thing has a lot to answer for!!

Waited for a week for it to be sorted, nothing had been resolved so just accepted tank of fuel for now, Gary said if millage thing is resolved then we all should go on the 7.2ppm, his contact number is 0113 277 1777

Was hoping for a few more photos of Ice Silver Still, very kind of you to go out your way and take all those photos. They seemed to have toned down the skirts on the BE. The original 280 skirts were much larger.

Monsoon grey looks fantastic, but I have that on my current MK2. All colours look fantastic actually. Win-win for everybody involved.
