I think the DSG model deal is gone now, seems manual is still about although not as cheap as they were, CVL for on is still showing a hal decent price, happy to give you the details of my sales guy in Birmingham, he understands the leasing side unlike some dealers.
Have sent you an e-mail Sir.

Checking into the thread...and Pistonheads in fact!

Had an eye on the main lease discussion for a while, missed out on the first deal a week or so ago but just ordered one directly from a dealer.

Went for the 5 door manual, 10k miles at just over £6k for the term. Pretty happy with that!

Long wait now. Has anyone been given a build week? Probably too early I guess.

No form of info whatsoever since I placed my order more than two weeks ago, CVL did not say they would update until nearer delivery so I am not annoyed or anything but would be handy to know a bit more about what is happening.

What colour did you go for out of interest?

Nevada white. Was debating between the grey and white.

Not driven or even seen one in the flesh!

Haha me neither! But have driven an Fr and was very impressed with the ride and handling compared to the previous model Leons (of which we have had 3) I was scanning the market regularly for FR lease deals but when this came up it was an absolute no-brainer. I have no doubt we will not be disappointed when we get our hands on the cars!

Don't diss yourself. It would be boring if we all had the same colour. It looks good in the Alor blue. I went for the boring monsoon grey on a boring estate haha

Alor blue looks great on the cupra. Im ashamed to say the only reason I didn't pick it is because it would clash with our other car which is red. Yes, I know, zero man points for even having such thoughts.

[quote=aww999]Thanks guys, I have had a couple of responses now from my enquiries, best so far is for £1953 + 23 x £203. I assume the Cupra R is the upcoming 4WD variant my sales guy mentioned, would prefer 2WD personally. What is the FL you speak of?

Who was that from please? Facelift apparently for March release following Paris show.

Looked like I have missed the boat on best deals. Checked with 3 dealers 5dr dsg + met paint 24 months 8k max Cannot believe quotes so different.
Dealer
1 x 23 8k 325 pm - £7800
1 x 23 8k 368 pm - £8832 incl seat sound pack
1 x 23 8k 349 pm - £8379
Broker
1 x 23 8k 277 pm - £6811 incl £150 fee Wessex not with VWFS Waiting for finance approval tomorrow hopefully

Still waiting for 2 dealers to contact me, one from Friday! + plan to speak to Seat to understand why prices are all over the place. Big subsidy from Seat that is not being reflected in latest quotes, perhaps quota reached before factory summer shutdown.

Has everyone seen the Auto Express group test - Cupra 290 v Golf Clubsport v Type-R?
Great news for us all but the anticipation will probably make the wait for the car feel even longer!

Auto Express have a long history of bloody loving the mk3 Cupra. Pretty sure they've had it top of every group test they've done and one of their contributors was near to tears when he returned his long term test car.

I know it came last but that golf is very nice. Just the right amount of vents, spoilers and skirtage. It looked great on the VW stand at Geneva earlier this year, I stood gawking at it for ages. Dare say the residuals will also be amazing.

Quick update, got a build slot of 3rd week of September, expected in to dealer 2nd/3rd week of October, that will make it 15 weeks from order if it stays as is, going to update me in September.

To be honest probably wouldn't of wanted to wait this long for one as it messes up some Home improvement plans I had for the money from my car sale, was told initially 10 weeks would be the longest frown

He did say in conversation a number of times "the sheer number" so guessing Seat have seen unusually high demand for the Cupra over recent weeks haha

Edited to add date of order for others for comparison, it was on the system that date too: Ordered on 7/7/16 with estimated delivery of 22/9/16

I just ordered mine today from http://www.carleasespecialoffers.co.uk/ - I think I got one of the last build slots they had. DSG, Alor Blue, 5 door, reversing camera for £203 per month inc VAT on a 9+23. Thanks for the delivery info above, I thought their initial estimate of 10-12 weeks was optimistic. Not really a problem for me, sooner would be better but I don't mind being patient!

Ordered mine the same day. No idea when they intend to build it. If it's here for October then they'll need to park store it somewhere until December.

I like to give VAG 6 months for factory orders just to be on the sae side. My general rule of thumb is that I add 50% to any time estimate the dealers give. The other 2 cars I've had from VAG companies have both been estimated at 4 months and both took 6.
