I have had various quotes saved today @ Lookers today, so I can book an order this week.

Prices increasing tonight!

Also the Cupra model (not the Black) has now been discontinued with no new orders accepted since 14th July apparently - mainly due to big supply issues with the 19" rims I am told. So now its Cupra Black or nothing!

Just got an update too.

Ordered 21/7
Expected BW is Week 39 (26/9)

So delivery a month or so after that probably.
Mine is also week 39 build - just received my update from CVL. Shame we will be in Autumn/winter by the time it comes but at least everything seems to be going as planned.

Snap, week 39. I have asked for reconfirmation that they won't be expecting me to collect/take delivery before mid/late December.

First time poster here.

I have been following this thread and other lease deal threads for some time now in helping me choose my first lease car.

I have gone for the Cupra Black 5dr DSG in dynamic grey with Wessex. They were by far the most helpful that I dealt with. I have been told my car is ordered and have seen that delivery is simply noted as 'October'.

Its going to be a long wait. Hoping we have an indian summer (autumn/winter) so I can appreciate the car before the rain and misery fully kicks in! haha

I had my current company car delivered on December 14, the excitement was quickly wiped away with the rain soaked seats and door card after the driver decided to leave it open whilst strapping another cat to the trailer, 12 miles on the clock, sodding wet and steamed up! Cheers :-(

Well it seems despite me stating that I won't be taking the car until December and cvl sales confirming this isn't an issue, the requirement hasn't passed to cvl admin or the dealer.

If it can't be confirmed I'll be cancelling my order.

I'm guessing they have advised the same build as we have all go then?

Is GAP insurance something you guys will be opting for? I don't normally go for insurances or warranties unless absolutely necessary but the stories I have heard about Golf Rs being nicked are making me wonder if for the sake of £150 odd it makes sense - especially as I have gone for a higher initial payment deal which could also be covered with GAP?

I always take GAP but do it through an independent supplier. If I was paying a large upfront payment I would definitely take the new cover that also covers the deposit as I saw a few people have their cars stolen very early on the Golf R forum and the deposit was gone. Paying a big deposit on a lease is a false economy and exposes you to financial loss if you don't take GAP with deposit cover. Unlike a PCP there is no interest so paying the whole rental cost over the 24 month period costs the same as paying 9+23 at a lower monthly cost. Personally i'd rather the money was still in my account.

Yes, week 37. They have always claimed it would be built around that time but said it wouldn't be a problem to hold the car and conclude the deal in December. That's now looking questionable. I'm not massively fussed if the whole thing falls through TBH.

I'm a bit late to this but are the deals on contracthireandleasing.com and similar still available? I did have a quote from Lookers but it was about 8 days ago.

Thanks, Max

Anyone seen any current deals better than this for a 5dr manual?

http://www.carleasespecialoffers.co.uk/personal-le...

About £6k inc fee, 8k miles.

Also are parking sensors and cruise standard fit?

Just has my finance approved on a SEAT Leon Cupra Black Sport Tourer with DSG in Dynamic Grey on a 6 + 23 profile @ 10k per annum at £204 + VAT.

Total cost (after 50% VAT recovery) is £6507.60 or £271.15 per month.

Lead time is 12 - 14 weeks so the Golf R has 3 months left.

I have a few quotes saved at Lookers if anyone's interested - 6k and 10k with/without SMT that are valid for a couple of weeks.

Is it Carly Rayner at Lookers Stockport who you have asked for the quotes? Assume they do Personal leases?

Dealer fitted option only.

Should add around £20-25 p/m.

You can buy the skirts for c£300. I posted a link earlier in the thread.

Depending on your colour they wouldn't cost much to paint and a child could fit them. It's a few screws in predrilled holes inside the arch and a few sticky strips.

Are you returning your R early? If so, have you spoke to VWFS?

Mine will be going back 3 months early. They told me it's 55% of remaining payments to settle. I'm fine with that but I plan on asking if there's a deal to be done since I'm taking out another 24 month VWFS contract.
