There doesn't seem to be any dedicated Leon Cupra forums and Cupra.net is full of Leon diesel owners so I've just created a Leon Cupra MK3 owners group on Facebook if anybody would like to join.

Will join up to that. I've joined the LeonOC group but don't follow it that much because the majority of posts are Mk1, Mk2 or FR if they are Mk3. SeatCupra.net also seems to be largely populated by diesel FR owners.

I'd definitely be demanding they supply, paint and fit side skirts. The car looks so much better with them.
With the margin they are making, not a chance that will happen.

After all, the option to reject the car without charge is available, so why should they loose money on you when somebody else will take it, probably with more profit?

Love the splitter, looks very OEM. Had one from tripleR on my Focus ST estate.

You not worried about putting holes into a lease car tho? Lol.

Leon oc is a good place to go.

Seatcupra net is where you get the Mk2 brigade with a mapped diesel fr that can beat anything even cupra 290's without trying.

Civic type r's are always beaten by 140 fr's with a map too

Suggest you phone Seat Peterborough/IMG Seat as a starter for ten. You can phone now if you want.

R5PNY posted saying that they had changed the colour of his order without notifying him. For others that's resulted in a £250 high street voucher. However, R5PNY also posted that he referred about 20 people from Pistonheads towards the dealer so they themselves figure that they owe him.

If the side skirts cost about £500 to the customer I don't think its a massive leap to as for them by way of an apology. You don't ask you don't get and I doubt folk that talk money for a living would be offended. I know I certainly wouldn't.

Haha I thought exactly the same thing when I had a look on there. Mostly you chavs with Halfords body kitted mk 1's & 2's. Nothing much of interest for us really.

I got a call from Wessex, as I had posted the deal I got (which wasn't the 6x23 on their website, but rather a 1x23 I emailed about). They asked if it came from me, I said yes; thinking maybe they'd add side skirts or something. My order guy then said they'd had a huge boost in orders for the 1x23 which wasn't advertised, thanked me and hung up.

No chance you're getting anything.

As nunpuncher (hilarious name by the way) says don't be afraid to ask for stuff. They can only say nope. I work in sales myself so am comfortable being a cheeky sod. I also appreciate that a lot of dealers have been landed with a really difficult situation in that it is SEAT that basically messed up their numbers. They should have been a lot more proactive in the notification and helped the dealers out. From what I understand SEAT had an over 400% increase in orders for the CUPRA's and were basically overwhelmed.

Reading the forum it seems that some have had better experiences with dealers than others.

I believe that the high street vouchers comes directly from SEAT rather than the dealer, so I'll speak with both Stoneacre and SEAT. To Stoneacre's credit they are trying to sort something out. I get the impression that Jason got too many orders to cope with and lost track of who did get Dynamic Grey and who didn't.

It's my first new car order in 10 years since coming out of company cars (last new motor was a Ford Focus ST3 ordered in 2006), so I am gutted that this experience has been tainted. Epic fail on SEAT's part. But hopefully Stoneacre will come good and I get something as a sweetener to take the Nevada White.

Sub8 side skirts and the Front Splitter suggested by DanTheManc would win me over smile

Has anyone tried plugging a 2 port USB hub into the USB connector? I quite like the idea of having a USB stick (with music) connected but also the option of occasionally connecting my phone via Android Auto. Not sure if this would just confuse the system though?

The car has SD card slots. Best to stick music on an SD card and just leave it in the car like a music hard drive. Thats what I do along with Spotify from phone. I don't plug the phone in though, just stream via Bluetooth.

Regarding the free stuff by way of apology. The splitter might be an issue as it's not a seat part. The dealer might not be too comfortable screwing a third party part onto a lease car. I'm pretty surey my paperwork said something along the lines of no aftermarket body parts should be fitted.
