Boring post alert....

Just looking out the window at the car an noticed sporadic placement of the black covers for the wheel nuts, I doubt that they have been nicked as they would have all gone but wandered if anyone else had noticed the same:

Front Driver: 5 black caps
Front Passenger: 4 Black caps
Rear Driver: 4 Black caps
Rear Passenger: 2 black caps

Just wandered if anyone else had them missing as assumed they would come from the factory with them fitted
Mine has all 5 black covers on each wheel - you have been short changed!

Are the people getting drive away insurance getting it free or having to pay? My dealer said they don't offer it so will have to pay.

It's not getting registered until Friday and pick it up Sunday, we won't have time to sort insurance and can't do it now as it isn't registered.
The 5 day cover is free

You should be able to set up insurance with your own insurer if the car is not yet registered, they just need to look up the car manually rather than by the Reg.

For people that had their dynamic changed to white and now have their car, did your finance paperwork reflect the colour change or did it still state the original? My mate gets his next Friday and paperwork still says Dynamic despite his order date being 16/09/16 and BW44! Stoneacre still claiming it hasnt been changed...
I order Dynamic and it was changed to white. I sent my finance documents back today and it said white. Mine was build week 47

My BW47 (ordered 9/9/16) car is in the UK, dealer says 1-2 weeks delivery to me.

Was Dynamic Grey, now Nevada White...............still cant believe Seat just changed it, no communication or other colour options.

I could cancel in protest, but they wouldn't care and I wouldn't get anything like as good a deal with anything else.

I assume this is how leasing is? Del boy practices!
Hi MOBB, did you also order from Stoneacre? Have you had it confirmed as being in the UK now then? Looking at your order date it was a few days after me. Mine also Dynamic Grey order that is now Nevada White frown
Yep, spoke to someone other than Jason today and he confirmed it was white and in the U.K.

Should be a week or 2 he reckons

Will try that as we have the reg of the car. But would like the 5 day insurance to give us some time as we are away Friday and Saturday.

Yeah, you can manually select the car on insurance sites so do that for a quote then just call the insurer who has the best quote, explain its a new car and the reg might not show up then tell them you want cover to start on Saturday.

The 5 day insurance varies from dealer to dealer in that it will be offered via whoever they have a deal with. It's not provided by Seat, VWFS or the dealership. Some dealerships won't offer it at all and the rules will vary depending on who the underwriter is.

Woo hoo, just had confirmation from Wessex that I will get the high street vouchers as compensation for the colour change.
So which "high street" stores can I use them in...?

Mine has arrived (IMG Seat), picking it up on the 23rd because that's the earliest I am available. It sounded like I could have picked it up a lot earlier (i.e. within the 14 day cooling off period).

My paperwork says grey, but then it was changed from Dynamic to Monsoon, so still ticks the boxes I guess.

Hi Kenny, that's good news. What were the details of your order? I'm going to try and secure the same with Wessex, not sure how far I'll get as Seat cancelled my blue order and a white car (cancelled order I presume) was found for me.

I initially emailed Seat customer services. They responded saying it was up to the dealer. I contacted Wessex who then contacted Seat who then confirmed the compensation. Doh.

I originally ordered Alor Blue but was then offered a choice of red, monsoon grey, or Nevada White. I went with white.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Kenny. I tried my luck, but "you've got a free stereo upgrade, so wind yer neck in" which is fair enough. I like my music so I'll get plenty of value out of it!

An OK deal for a PCP I suppose. Think we'll stick with our lease deal. biggrin

They are not being delivered into the UK until next summer - perhaps the order book may open early 17.

Not a bad deal to be fair, but not a patch on the 290 lease deal.
