Had the inevitable colour call today. He must have known this when I asked him weeks a go. I hear nothing for weeks and then spams me with missed calls when I'm at work all day but doesn't bother leaving a message!

My BW47 (ordered 9/9/16) car is in the UK, dealer says 1-2 weeks delivery to me.

Was Dynamic Grey, now Nevada White...............still cant believe Seat just changed it, no communication or other colour options.

I could cancel in protest, but they wouldn't care and I wouldn't get anything like as good a deal with anything else.

I assume this is how leasing is? Del boy practices!
Just been told it has arrived at the dealers, collect next week :-)
Jammy sod... spoke to Stoneacre today... They had 7 outstanding orders, 6 arrived today (yours being one of them)... You can guess who's the seventh was! smile

Spoke to Jason, and gave him some feedback... he's genuinely apologetic about the situation and agreed that communication should have been better. I also spoke with Seat UK and can see how Stoneacre got it wrong on the colours. The Seat UK document still had mine down as Dynamic Grey, Stoneacres details have it down as now being white. It seems some dealers were given the option to change colours and others weren't. When raising this with the chap at Seat this afternoon he let slip that the later orders where just changed to White as management thought that would be "OK" as Dynamic Grey and Nevada White are similar!

Seat have massively ballsed this one up!

This Cupra had better be good! I'm that hacked off I nearly went into a Golf GTD Estate lease as they're on offer.

A diesel! God, you must be pee'd off. The Seat management team would need to personally come round my house and piss on my chips before I'd threaten going diesel.

They probably would, because "vinegar and piss are so similar."

My rebate from Lookers was in my bank account yesterday - 1 day after delivery so you know what to expect from your supplying dealer!

Embarrassed to say I haven't had chance to do more than 3 miles so far, or managed to get the interior lights to work or the wing mirrors to fold!! Time to RTFM!!

Anyone taken GAP? If so, what type, from whom and how much please.

Can anyone confirm if a private plate can be put on a lease car through VWFS?

Unsurprisingly I'm getting 2 different answers from Stoneacre.

Thanks

I know the dealer I've ordered with said it wouldn't be a problem putting my private plate on.

That shouldn't be an issue. The V5 though will have both yourself and VWFS listed (AFAIK).

I might be in the same boat. Got an email to say that my car 'might' be with her mid-next week. If so, I can possibly pick up on Friday - the day in which I want it as I'm travelling to Scotland. Doing that journey would get a good 650 miles on it as I'd probably visit both Glasgow and Edinburgh as well.

I've got my reg so Carly should be sending across the paperwork today or Monday. My paperwork did have an increased mileage price on it which Carly saw and ask them to change straightaway which was good.

Fingers crossed for next week.

We pick ours up on Sunday and then a 220 mile blast back home up the motorway to Scotland to dust the cobwebs off it.

If I see another next weekend in Glasgow/M8 will give you a wave.

You can, I am going to put mine on when I can be arsed to send the retention form to VWFS, they charge an admin fee of £50 to sort it.

It might be me as i'm in that area. I'll be easy to spot though because i'll be in one of the few that actually got built in dynamic grey.

Our came across on the same ship but yours seems to have got on an earlier transporter than mine. I have a reg number and I've completed the finance documents but I've not had any emails with regards to a collection date. My finance documents said registration date 23rd December so I'm assuming that will be my collection date?

Not necessarily - mine said 16/12 but I had the car 7/12.

I think thats a "longstop" date required to issue the docs.
