I'm not sure I could get away with buying them for the misess as a present though. Pretty sure they'd end up where the sun doesn't shine. Good luck with that Joeseppi.
It's was a fruitless attempt by me to look like I'm in charge of this marriage and flex my muscles on this thread haha. On the other hand if they do get inserted, at least it'll feel soft and fluffy!Ok let's move on.....
On a serious note my mate who has the M235i has wheel woolies and says they are great.
I've just bought one of the large Gyeon wheel brushes - I'll feed back if it's any good and works well enough with the BE wheels

I did see those woolies pop up on the ccc shop, I think they are a new addition. Keep us posted on how you get on with it - my only issue with it is that it looks like a bog brush. I'm sure the misses, friends and neighbours would enjoy a good laugh at my expense.

Managed to properly stretch its legs today on the A43 from jct 10 of the M40 pretty much to Silverstone.
I have never driven a FWD car with so much grip and little understeer. It was damp and still stuck like glue, cant wait until its dry.
I have done 500 miles so decided a few red line changes were in order. The engine is so smooth. I had a Focus ST try to shake me off. In the end I lost her coming out of a roundabout (because she wouldnt move over), I dont think she expected me to be quite so quick.
Its so easy to bring out the hooligan in you.

So...
After waiting over 3 months for delivery of my 290 Black edition through vehicle savers, I took delivery this morning.
LIVID is an understatement. Despite me ordering dynamic grey and all paperwork confirming this, they have sent the car in white. Whilst it still looks great, I didn't want white!
Spoke to vehicle savers who after some investigation have told me this - for cars built from October 16 onwards Seat weren't doing the Cupra's in dynamic grey but failed to tell the dealers and just made all that were ordered in dynamic grey in white. You cant make this up its that ridiculous!
I have been offered £500 compensation so far but this isn't good enough in my opinion, to just deliver it in white without telling me is a complete joke.
If any of you are waiting on a dynamic grey one I would suggest discussing with your dealer asap.
other than the obvious colour issue, its a lovely car!

Completely understand where you're coming from and can understand your disappointment with regards to the colour. After waiting over 3 months for delivery of my 290 Black edition through vehicle savers, I took delivery this morning.

It was noted on this thread a couple of months ago, some dealerships were unaware of the change and some were. And some were more pro-active than others when the problem was identified!
Just to fill you in, for people who had the colour changed, SEAT UK have offered £250 worth of high street vouchers.
If you've been offered £500 cash as compensation, then I'd take it. Could ask for a little more, but that depends on how aggrieved you feel towards the colour change. If you went for a 1+23 payment profile, then that's essentially 2 months free which is not to be sniffed at...
Still doesn't excuse Vehicle Savers or the dealership - poor really, but at least they've offered you a form of compensation.
It was all over this thread that post September orders in DG were being changed to white, so somewhat surprised you didn't know or check sometime back, albeit the communication appears poor to say the least!
You have 2 choices - take the £500 in store vouchers being offered by SEAT UK (not the supplying dealer) or reject your car as you are in the 14 day cooling-off period which will mean you should be refunded all monies paid to date.
Getting another car this good at this rate may proove difficult, but you may be able to find a cancellation in DG if your lucky..
David
PS I have a DG ST, and in its dirty state everyone thinks its white!!

Thanks to this thread i found out about the colour change a couple of months ago, and after several attempts to make the dealer realise what was going on, as they had no indication of the change, i managed to fortunately get it moved to dynamic grey, which arrived late last week, and looks absolutely fantastic!
If neither myself nor the dealer had an clue about the colour change and it'd have just rocked up in plain white after months i waiting i think i'd be LIVID as well

I must be the only one here that would jump at £500 free to drive a lease car that I'll never own so couldn't give a st if it's white or off white...sorry dynamic grey.
If they offered no compensation, different matter.
I'd take it all day long as well. Tbh I hummed and hah'd between white and dynamic grey but thought the dg was too much like white anyway. If they offered no compensation, different matter.
Just my opinion of course but I'd take the cash as it's more than others have been offered. Some of us will have different cars this time in 2 years so I'd live with it and spend the cash unwisely.
So after my initial frustration over the colour I have resolved the issue.
Dealer gave me £750 cash and £250 high street voucher. Happy with this outcome.
The car itself is outstanding for the money it costs every month!
Styling, performance and economy are all great. Surprised at how 'eco friendly' it is far a high powered car, it is so much better than my R32 I had before. Performance is very good although not given it full power yet given its only done 150 miles but it is fair to say that the car is very fast and powerful through the rev range rather than some instant boost and then power dropping higher up the rev range.
Set up individual mode for the eco drive and this is great, as is when you want it to go nuts in cupra mode.
Comfort wise the seats are very good, much comfier than the R32 buckets or the buckets in the new type r.
Getting the wheels blacked out this weekend to give it that true 'black edition' look, think they should have been black from factory but get it isnt to everybody's taste.
One question - is there a way i can save favourites on the DAB so they appear on the first screen of the radio. For example sometimes I might listen to talksport but then want kisstory but have to faff about a bit to do it which isnt ideal when driving.

I have a really annoying rattle from around the steering wheel area. It is more of a vibration and comes on mainly over bumps.
I think I need to go out with a passenger so they can have a poke and prod but has anyone else had something similar?
I would rather find it myself than take it to a stealer

Given its a lease it isn't yours to modify......I'm not sure it would be picked up in 2yrs on inspection but just be aware!Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
