Currently trying to weigh up whether to choose a company car where everything bar fuel is included or to take the cash allowance for a personal lease.

I'm trying to work out total cost and have included 2 years insurance and 2 services.

Over 20k miles how many tyres, brake pads etc should I budget for?

Thanks

I'm not sure what status 00 or status 10 means, is that percentage of construction complete? smile

My order, placed with Wessex in last week of July, still shows mid-October delivery on their system. I'm sure at some point it will delayed until the Flumpteenth of Nimtember.

Silly question: having never ordered a new car before, how/where is it delivered? Will a giant transporter turn up at my house? Do I have to get the train to whichever Seat dealer offered my broker the best price? Perhaps the order will be delayed until Santa can load it onto his sleigh for a 24th Decemeber delivery?
Current company car came from Southampton Audi, was transported with 3 other on a Small transporter.

Previous BMW from park Lane came straight to my house on a covered carrier directly from a huge pdi place up north.

You will normally get a call for delivery date then just wait in! It may be driven or trailered.
I'm picking mine up from the dealer as it's 15 mile away

I've looked into this many times, company car usually wins out unless your doing low business miles.

10k for a set of fronts on a Cupra will be max, my current FR did 12 with my wife driving most of them.

Convinience of company car too, anything goes wrong it's hassle free, including crashing them.

My Tax on an A5 is about 240 A month, fuel another 150 so for 400 a month I am fully covered including fuel for a £35k car, granted it's never mine but nether will my cupra!!

Status 00 means the factory has accepted the order but no build week has been allocated.

Status 10 once the build week is allocated.

I'm still at Status Code 00 unfortunately. My car got collected today so now I'm car-less, minus the wifes car.

I hope it's quick but I doubt that will be the case, given what you are all saying about your own individual orders.

How do some of you guys have a status code? Is it because you ordered through a Seat dealer and not a broker?

I personally have ordered through SEAT directly, but not sure if the status codes are specific to that

While we are all waiting, does anyone have any good videos of the Cupra 290 in action? Seems unfortunate that a lot of the videos of the 290 are from European reviewers so cannot understand what they're saying.

Hi there, I ordered about 10 days ago from the Bristol dealer. I was told no more black edition 3 doors available but you could still factory order a 5 door. That view was also confirmed by Seat Warrington.

In the end I went for a non-black 3 door that was already in the queue. Same price (works out about £6k over 2 years on 10,000 miles).

One of the leasing companies told me that there would be black edition 3 doors available, but they couldn't actually confirm anything for a couple of weeks when they submitted their full request. Sounded like a load of BS to me so I went with the dealer.

Hope that helps.

Just received my paperwork to sign and return. On the documentation it states a vehicle registration date of 30th September, does anyone know if this means the car will be available soon after that date?

The 30th September reg is most likely for the benefit of the supplying dealer as they will want the registration to count towards Q3 target so does not necessarily mean the car will be available soon after.

Hopefully not a daft question, but does week 43 mean the 43rd week of the year, therefore you should have your car between October 24, 2016 and October 30, 2016?

Thanks, C.

Kind of... From what I understand, delivery of vehicle (post shipping etc) should be build week +3/4 weeks.

Build week 43 is the 24/10/16 to 28/10/16. I think from build to arrival at the dealership it's about 4 weeks. Plus about another 1 at the dealer for prep.

I placed an order with Seat Stockport today. Filled in the finance proposal so just waiting to hear back from VWFS.

5dr 290 black in monsoon grey. 1+23 with payments of £260. Includes free delivery and no other fee's.

Warrington offered me a 3dr DSG on a 3+23 deal. Deposit of £786 and monthlies of £262. I think they also add a fee of some sort of £180 is on top of that too.

Hi, I'm considering a 290 Black 5dr in Dynamic Grey on a 1+23 lease (10k miles) for £249 and wondered if anyone has managed to match this price from Peterborough or Warrington anywhere else in the country?

Also can anyone confirm what the standard service plan is for the Leon? I'm hoping over 2 years (covering approx. 16k miles) I'll only need a set of front tyres and no more than 1 service... do Seat have different service profiles like annual/variable/long life and what is the default setting/can it be changed by request?

Thanks

The service plan is 10k miles/1 year. as far as i know it cannot be changed.
From what others have said - the lease company will expect it to have been serviced twice, and have steep charges if its not.

They all state "within manufacturers guidelines". Not sure if Seat allow a 30-day grace period on the first service, like most manufacturers? If they do, do the first service 20 days late, that way, it's not due it's second service when you hand it back.
