The new R8 really is a good looking car!
Totally agree & I much prefer the smaller side blades than the originals.Palmball does your car automatically switch between driving modes? For example if you select comfort it may change to the auto option in the driving mode menu or possibly dynamic. I asked my dealer and they did not seem to sure other than venturing possibly the car will switch according to how you are driving.

By itself? No, it stays in whatever driving mode I put it in until I change it to something else. Just done a deal on a yellow one
Long story but lets just say the deal was too good to miss and effectively wipes out £30k's worth of depreciation for a few grand, and gets me an even better spec'd car.
It was quite a hard decision as, despite not typically being fan of black cars, I've really grown to love the black / red combo of mine. I also like the yellow, but I might miss the red interior (the yellow car has a black interior with yellow diamond stitching). Once I'd committed to changing there was little point going for the same again so might as well go the other end of the spectrum eh!

We have a yellow one on order but no date yet.
Yep, I use mine as a daily too
Right then, yellow car (replacing my black one) arrived at the dealer last weekend, I collect it next Saturday
Now, I wasn't sure of yellow; right up to the point that I walked into the dealer and saw their Ara Blue car in the showroom (tremendous colour) and nearly changed my mind....again
I'm a big fan of blue, yellow is a risky choice. But yellow comes with an almost irresistible deal. Then I walked into their workshop and saw the yellow one, and WOW. I loved it.
It currently has black side blades rather than carbon, which I find odd given carbon is standard and surely the pricier finish (why downgrade to 'just' paint?). Anyway, I'd agreed with the dealer to swap my carbon blades onto it but I nearly stuck with the black so good do they look against the yellow. But my wife talked me into sticking with my original carbon choice as she (quite rightly) reckons it goes better with the other carbon bits. So it's getting carbon blades.
Now, the final decision is the wheels. Knowing the yellow car came with black wheels and knowing I don't typically like black wheels, I also agreed to swap my matt titanium wheels onto the car. But now I've seen the yellow car with black wheels in person, I'm not so sure
Theres something about the yellow/black look that works but, that said, I still think the polished matt titanium wheels look more expensive, classy and...(trick of the eye) bigger.
What do you think of bumblebee?
Compared to my titanium wheels:
And a yellow car with silver wheels (these are the full polished set, the matt titanium wheels are two tone and not aren't this shiny!)

Keep them black so whole car ties together. There's nothing titanium or silver on the car that would tie in with having titanium wheels. It's looks perfect as it is. Oh and your wife was right about the side blades for the same reason, so that they match the carbon rear spoiler.
Are all yellow cars being offered on better deals? Or are you just getting a good deal as a repeat customer?
