Morning all.

My Nob (2.5) has decided to throw a wobbly. Went to start it this morning and it made all the usual noises, fired then died. Tried again a couple of times finally and got it to tickover ok but it won't rev. As soon as I open the throttle it fluffs and dies. The battery is fine - I keep it on a trickle charger. Have checked the 4 bulkhead fuses and the ones in the footwell and all seem ok but noticed that the handbrake warning light isn't working either although I suppose that could be coincidence.

I haven't washed the car or had it out in the rain and it ran perfectly on Wednesday when I last used it so at a complete loss as to where to start!

Any pointers gratefully received.

Cheers,

Bill

Yes. It runs for about 2 seconds then stops. Trouble is, i can't remember if that's normal or not.

Thanks.

Yeah sounds normal , I wonder if it's flooded , hold throttle right to the floor to turn off the injectors then see if she will fire up and Rev !

Sorted!! Just been out for a blat and given it the berries. All back to normal. Thanks Tuxman. Probably a clumsy initial start up and then a touch of new owner paranoia rolleyes

Cheers,

I'm pretty sure he would have got the same answer elsewhere although if he had needed a spare part because of Pistonheads rules he would have been stuffed !!!!

For a new-ish owner like me, the search function on PH is far superior to facebook. Just because it has the depth and history of years of ownership without having to ask stupid questions in the open forum of fb.

They both have their place, but mostly I have migrated to fb
just come here to "check-in" and for search history.
