So I bought Mrs T some lovely V12V alloys for her birthday...You can imagine, as a lady, how thrilled she was by such a considerate and thoughtful present.

However, I forgot to buy the correct bolts to tie them on!

I already have locking bolts and they are for sale everywhere but to find 16 of the correct standard bolts for these wheels is proving really tiresome (American pun) - unless of course, I pay around 120 Sovs to AML for the privilege of 16 ruddy wheel bolts - which will probably rust in a few months anyway.

Does anyone have 16 spare ones please or knows someone who does have at a reasonable price ?

I wonder whether you might have early symptoms of modificationitis?
It is not a painful condition (except to the wallet), but we have seen before on this forum that it can escalate into an obsession. A really serious strand of the condition can develop, which produces a yearning for more power. Unfortunately we have seen on several occasions, that craving can end in tears (no names).

Please don't take my comments too seriously.

I don't normally get excited about modified Astons, except the GT3 and GTE models, but one contributor made his V8 Coupe look just like a V12, and with the V12 bonnet and tailgate, it looked very good. You now have the wheels, and have mentioned having sills, so would you like to do what the other person did, and find a V12 bonnet to complete the look? You might be the first to do it with a Roadster.

Yes,

And then he will have a V8V12 and everyone will know that life didn't quite work as well as he had hoped....

Buy what you can afford and if you can't afford what you want - work harder until you can, don't fake it because it is so sad. Especially when achieving a V8 Aston Martin really isn't that bad...is it?!
