The Audi S3 lease thread

looks lovely... more pics please.. interior too if you can..

Mine has now progressed onto stage 7 but oddly i have noticed the model name change..

it is now 'S3 Sportback Black Edition 2.0 TFSI quattro 310 PS S tronic'

it wasn't a black edition before.. that has just appeared in the model name on the tracker last night.

any ideas?

No clue but I'd definitely query it with the broker. Wasn't there a chap on the best lease deals thread that was provided vehicle which accidentally had options included and told he could either pay more a month for the options or cancel? Can't recall as I think it was a while back but you certainly don't want it to all be finalised and receive a "oops, we messed up, more money please" e-mail/phone call!

Just put my order number into the tracker. Estimated start of build is 9th Jan so a bit of a wait. Anyone had experience of this changing?

28th November build here, order received 14th Sep. No changes experienced (even though I've been checking every day!). However, with the Golf R anyway, once production starts it's quite a speedy process.

Don't forget guys, if you have a lease through VWFS at the moment (not sure on other finance providers), then you can provide them with the Audi SLI, even if not ordered via VWFS, in order to extend your current lease until you take delivery of the Audi and most importantly, at least at the current rate you're paying.

Whilst I'm here, anyone received an S3, 3DR in Daytona Grey? Looked online but they tend to be generic images. Can't figure out what colour the rear diffuser is meant to be, silver or black?

Thanks for the reply. My order is being shown as placed on the 22nd September. I don't really mind getting the car in Jan, I'm presuming that a lot of cars have been ordered in the middle of September when the deals were on which in turn has obviously pushed mine back a bit.

Which dealer are you guys getting your S3's from? Mine is coming from Sheffield Audi, I think I might collect it myself and have a nice drive back to Cardiff

Mine is showing as in the UK now - not long till i get my hands on it now hopefully..

it has gone back to 'black edition' on the tracker so got knows what is going on with that.. lol

I was given the keys to an S3 yesterday for an hour. My god it is a beast. The noise when it changes gear at the red line is lovely.

You guys are going have a hard time keeping your licences. The one I drove did not want to hang around.

Construction pushed back from end of November to mid-Dec.

Pixel, how long did it to take from build to your current status?

to be fair it was quite quick around 2 weeks iirc.

Cooling off period is up to the 30/10 and delivery to me should be around that date. Rather excited

Edit to add... sorry about yours being put back - i can't imagine anything more frustrating

I ordered mine through Select a couple of days after you.

Couple of questions, do you use the order tracker? If so, what postcode did you put in? My home postcode doesn't work, so assume it would be the broker/finance company or something.

I went through Select too so I'm presuming that your finance is through Alphabet? I put their head office postcode in and it worked for me.

I ordered an s3 saloon with select on 14th September after cancelling a Golf r with them due to the delays. On both occasions they have refused to supply a number for me to track the order. How long did it take before you guys received the tracking number?

My order is showing as being placed on the 22nd or 23rd Sept I emailed the admin team from Select second a couple of weeks after and they provided it from the supplying dealer the next day.

All sorted. It's the postcode of Audi Slough. Strangely my car appears to be a Black Edition. Although the dealer said it definitely isn't.

Mine too - it has now delivered to the dealer and it is still showing black edition on the tracker

delivery date confirmed with the dealer - its coming to me Monday 31/10 - car ordered in July.

Golf is booked to be picked up same day - i had extended the lease but only needed it for 12 more days as it turned out lol.

6 days and counting....

Make sure you check this, for all of the welcome de-blinging that comes with the Black edition, as punishment you get horrible wheels.
