Apparently the tracker takes a few weeks to update for the first time - got my tracking number nearly 2 weeks ago now and its still not showing as a valid number
Great, thanks. Having spoken to SelectCar, Alphabet and Audi, no one knew why it wasn't working. As an aside, keeping your Golf until you take delivery of the S3? FYI VWFS were more than accommodating when it came to extending the contract. Agreed 2 months without further information, can go up to 3 and any more than that they just require the SLi.

Great stuff Orange and many thanks they have already replied to my enquiry.
December is fine me as the R runs until April so just need to hand that back early.

Great stuff. I've never leased a car before but that price was too good to pass up so thought I'd get the order in asap. December is fine me as the R runs until April so just need to hand that back early.

I'm giving serious thought to getting one of these, does anyone know what the build time is? If i ordered this week would i have it before Christmas?
I think the 5 door Sportbacks have a better build time than the 3dr I went for (that's currently estimated at 3rd week Jan for delivery).Worth asking brokers if a) they have stock vehicles or b) what lead times there are on whatever you fancy.
As of today, after seeing the rekindled Golf R deals, I'd probably consider that as apparently delivery is for Dec.
Signed on the dotted line for 5dr manual Daytona grey, sun protection, parking plus and maintenance £1900 deposit, £330 a month 10 k per annum delivery mid November apparently!
Also to younger people reading this I'm 18 with 1 years NCB with admiral it's £850 no black box!!!!!! 5dr and manual is the cheapest insurance combo also the best to drive.
Disclaimer to potential haters: no my parents don't pay for It. also they don't know that I have ordered one either. But of a surprise at Christmas for them I guess

Cheers, i made a few calls today, all cars are factory order and i doubt i would have it by Christmas. I had giving up on getting an R because of the 20-25 week waiting time. Where have you seen these latest Golf R deals? Worth asking brokers if a) they have stock vehicles or b) what lead times there are on whatever you fancy.

Not sure how to respond to more than one reply in here.
Deals for the Golf R are to be had across the board it seems. Central Vehicle Leasing & Select Car Leasing have both sent through e-mails of c. £230 per month on a 9+23 basis I believe. Would be best to check with them, as I've not delved further.
If you go through Select Car Leasing, speak to Sam Bryan, he's the guy that sorted out my Audi for me, tell him Nik advised to speak to him.
Another option is to go through VW directly, although not sure who's the "in" dealer for this at the moment.

Ordered mine Monday morning after they put the prices up on the weekend.....
Ended up getting an Stronic Audi S3 5 Door Sportback in Metallic Red, as the only option, I think I can live without everything else.
6+23, coming in at £1,549.86 deposit and 23 Payments at £258.31, average cost per month, £312.13 or a total of £7,491 over the term, that's with 6k miles per year, not maintenance.
best deal I had seen for a while, so just took the plunge...
Nice. Wouldn't work for me as I need 15K mileage at least. I bet the monthlies shoot right up for that!!Ended up getting an Stronic Audi S3 5 Door Sportback in Metallic Red, as the only option, I think I can live without everything else.
