I ordered mine direct through VW Cardiff. I've never driven a GTi before so I went today for a quick drive. Really impressed, lots of toys. I was half thinking of cancelling the order but now I'm going to stick with it.

Also VW got back to me yesterday to say they'd cocked up the order so mine will be black not night blue. A bit annoying but not enough to cancel the order.

The dealer suggested December delivery but I won't believe it until I see it on the system...

BW45 was the cut off for Night Blue and Carbon Grey I think

Checked today and still provisional build of week commencing 5/12. Advisor said if it does move forward it might only be by a week at the most at this date, so looks pretty set for a New Years delivery unless it's shipped over quicker.

Only thing that bothers me is CVL's predicted delivery times previous to committing to the order. If you are going to tell a customer a piece of, well deal making info to some of us, at least make sure the facts are right. I wasn't even given a worst case delivery date, just 6-8 weeks.

You live and learn. Still looking forward to it that being said.

And if you're reading this cvl, which I am sure you are, don't fill people with rubbish just to get an order or they may go elsewhere next time. Quite clearly the 6-8 weeks is not going to happen for many!

My build week has just been confirmed as 14th Nov - has been same date for last ten days. Doubtful it will be here in time for Christmas. Hope your dates come forward. A quick sample check in order numbers on the tracker suggest 300 or 400 white GTIs will be hitting our roads in Dec / Jan.

These colours were removed from production so are no longer available to order any more

Well turns out that my SLI number was wrong, finally got the correct one from CVL and its BW45 which should mean delivery 1st week in December apparently which is exactly when my Audi goes back so working in perfectly.
