Well turns out that my SLI number was wrong, finally got the correct one from CVL and its BW45 which should mean delivery 1st week in December apparently which is exactly when my Audi goes back so working in perfectly.
How did you find out it was wrong? Live chat?
Yes, after weeks of it not showing on the tracker I spoke to VW on the live chat and they could not find the original SLI number and said that it was incorrect. Spoke to CVL today and they checked with the dealer and got an updated number and confirmed the BW etc for it. This new build number shows up on the tracker as well now as confirmed.

From what I've heard the tracker doesn't change from the 2nd stage until 2-3 weeks from the build slot. Mine is the same but have a provisional build of week 49.

I wouldn't mind collecting mine if it wasn't for the dealer being in Cardiff. Wonder if they will waver the fuel and mileage if I did.....?

Can someone please advise on GAP insurance for this and how much and whom you will be going with. This will be my first new car and first lease so very new to this.
Our company insurance broker sorted ours on the company cars so I reckon most brokers will be able to.
Have a look on google for people offering it. It's not expensive although you don't usually need it for the first year.

Anyone know if you get the standard first year VW roadside assistance when taking out a lease? I asked CVL but they didn't know.

Don't know myself, best to ask the dealer the car is coming from I would think.

Who has got maintenance and who hasn't. I personally didn't.
I think it's a two service on a 24 month contract unless the car can go back before hittting that 2 year point.

Non maintained here.

Not sure the service intervals on these but if the oil needs doing I'll send it in to the dealers so they can put fresh stuff in and turn the service indicator off. Anything else like brakes I'll do myself. Tires, I plan on picking up some premium rubber for the summer during the winter sales.

Just to give you a rough guide, my build week was 26th September and the tracker has just moved to stage 7 meaning that it has left the port in the UK and is on the way to the dealer. Unfortunately I am currently out of the country on business so have to wait at least 2 more weeks before I can drive it.

Any chance you could give a brief breakdown of the time periods between build date and each of the stages?

Just had build confirmed as 21st November and whilst I understand there will be variations it would be useful to have a real world example as a guide.

Thanks

What have CVL said then? I was assuming the 6-8 weeks was rubbish from the moment I got the tracking number and saw what VW were estimating ?
