Sounds fine for me then.

Can't decide weather to collect the car or just let someone drop it off. I know if I collect it then I'm putting 200 odd miles on it straight away, but I kind of want to put all the miles from new on it myself. Maybe it's my OCD playing up!?!

Better to let them drive it up. 200 motorway miles is boring and a potential 3 points lol

Nice, very arty wink Still not keen on the wheels but might change mine in the new year.

Although it's just making me more impatient for mine now...

I'm the same with the wheels wanted the other ones but defeated the purpose of the cheap lease. Maybe some cheap online

Santiago's I believe? Although I seem to remember they are 19''? So a new set of tyres won't come cheap...

Looking good Alex. Makes me even more impatient for mine!!

I quite like the wheels. They remind me of the wheels we had on our old mk5 GTI.

Is anyone aware if there are decent discounts on the edition 40? Would be PCP I imagine to get the discount.

Currently got a 2014 GTI PP, but would love an ed40. With a some 'necessary' options though it's £33835!
Went into my local dealer a few weeks ago , 3 door dsg 40 edition in stock , no discount .

Pretty poor px price offered on our 35 edition in immaculate condition / low mileage / bought and serviced a the same dealer group.

Got up and walked , rang back to haggle to be told they'll come back to me on Monday.

Not only am I still waiting ,for a call back , but ended up chatting to a pal who ended up buying the very same car , who got a grand off it.

Just counted up and I've had 5 cars off them , including an R , all paid for in full , never again will I set foot in that dealership.

Anyone know of a brand new 3 door dsg 40 edition in stock anywhere ?

Came with Bridgestone Potenzas. Seem pretty good so far!

Regarding the wheels they've actually grown on me, I feel they look a lot better in real life than they do in photographs and they're extremely easy to clean when washing the car.

Currently averaging 27MPG around town which I don't actually think is that bad, I got 34MPG on my 9 mile commute to work on Friday.

Potenza's, that's good to hear.

The MPG doesn't bother me to much, especially after owning a VXR8 with a 6.2 ltr V8 that averaged barely double figures. What range are you getting out of a full tank?

Wow my BW48 car is now either on ship or assigned a ship as the tracker says 10 days to go! That was quick as my last golf sat at the port for two weeks.

My guess would be its on this one:

Telford unfortunately. Wish it was Newbury as I am not far away from there.

That's what I hoped as well but sadly wasn't the case. I have a Golf R coming which has been sat at the UK port since last Monday. It's still not at the dealers yet, unless it was transported there over the weekend.

Bear in mind the tracker is usually slow at updating...maybe try live chat and see what they say? or phone the dealer and ask when its arriving.
