Been told mines not in the dealer system yet and they are waiting for it to be put in so they can then issue the tracking. I don't need it till March so happy to wait but she thinks Jan, but doubt it from the times people are quoting.

I went on the live chat earlier and was told my preliminary build week is week commencing the 7th of November, so maybe not too long to wait! Mines to be delivered to the vw dealer in Newbury, apparently.

Weird allocations to dealers then! I live in Oxofrd yet my car shown as Cardiff ! Wonder why not Newbury ?

From previous experience, the build week does not get confirmed until 2 weeks prior to build. Up till then it can move forward or back by a week or 2.

Once confirmed, it generally stays fixed. From your build week it takes around 4 weeks to get to your dealer dependent on which boat it's getting on. Finance docs get issued once car is In the uk.
Depending on dealer turnaround, you can get your car pretty quick once it's landed in the uk. So could take them a few days to 7 days to get car ready and then maybe another few days to schedule delivery to ur door.

Got one of these through David @ Jardine. Thanks David. Not the original really cheap deal but a very good price that i'm very happy with. Bog standard car in white, although well specced as standard. No point paying for extras..I just need to sort out some gap insurance now.

I was going to send a email to CVL regarding the large difference in delivery time from what was quoted to what VW have said, but it's probably not going to make much difference now. It could still come forward a bit to technically.

Be interested to hear their reply if you do send the email , we seem to have got the same deal and spec and supplying dealer so I too am a bit miffed about the longer projected delivery times OP.

Yes mate, I know the girl who usually does the tracking numbers is off sick at the moment so someone else is covering. Probably why its taking longer than normal

Orderd via NVS and just went onto VW chat for my provisional build date... 16/01/2017 On the upside at least it's not me waiting for it but the better half.
