Yes but it will still get delivered to the main dealer first for pre delivery inspection etc is my understanding

Car gets delivered on transporter to supplying dealer who gets the job of Doing the pdi and removing all the transport wax etc.

My order has been updated to DSG on the tracker and still on track for build week 46? 14th november, so hopefully get the car before xmas.

Build week now confirmed as 07/11/2016!

I also understand that the car is delivered to a location of your choosing, i.e. work/home.

Just checked and mines confirmed for the same week.

Seems like it may just end up being a Christmas present to myself now!

Say you're out of the country when it's due to be delivered, will they postpone until you return? Might be a question for the dealer in Newbury...

I was informed it could take up to 6 weeks for the car to be ready to collect once built when I asked on VW live chat yesterday.

My order number is appearing on the vw tracker now but its coming up as black pearlescent when it should be white

I can't understand it even more now if people are getting build dates of the beginning of November and my provisional is in Jan ???!

At a guess I say reserved build slots; when I placed my order it sounded like the dealer had already submitted a number of build requests in anticipation of receiving A certain number of orders and that I was going to be allocated one of those therefore would be higher up in the queue. If the allocation was exhausted by the time your order was placed i'm assuming you will have joined the back of the build queue.

That makes sense but I'm sure I got in early with CVL according to the bloke I spoke to but will have to wait and see I suppose , my tracker still shows as with the factory so haven't got a confirmed date yet anyway so will see how it goes

Mines on the tracker but still saying 'with the factory', sadly enough i typed in the numbers higher and lower than mine and 3 up and and 3 down are all white 5 door Golf Gti DSG. Maybe they bunch them together?

Anyone know what tires they fit as OEM? A bit of googling only brought up customer cars in the U.S which are a right mixture from Dunlop sport maxx, Continentals and Pirelli's. I'm assuming it will be something premium at the very least. If not I might try and pick up some Yokohama AD08 R's during the winter sales to put on for the summer.

For me one of the big advantages of a lease is not having to worry about tyres, Mot, service etc (with the miles I'll be doing anyway)

I plan on taking the car for a few fun drives over the evo triangle and around the Yorkshire moors so don't mind paying a bit extra for some sticky rubber.

Especially now I'm without a weekend toy due to baby duties, this will take up some of the slack.

Looks like order numbers 2648442x - 2648452x are pretty much all white GTIs. So about 100 cars!
Checked a few of these and there was certainly one that is a higher number than mine that actually had a confirmed build date.
