Finally been given my order number after chasing the dealer. Very disappointed to find out I'm in week 2 2017. Especially as when I ordered the car the dealer estimated December delivery! I'm guessing it will be end of Feb at this rate - thought going direct to VW might help me out but clearly not.

I wouldn't take that initial build date to seriously, most of us have had our dates shortened by at least a month or so since the first date was given.

Or if like me it could be lengthened by two weeks from original build week 46 to now being 48 😩

I just ordered a golf gti last week but i just found out today that my company is going through some changes and there could be some job cuts. If i needed to cancel, could i do this?

Check the terms of your order with the lease company, there was a large section on cancellations when I signed the order for mine. I think it was a fee of around £500.00.

I would have thought that anyone with BW45 7th Nov should now have moved to BW Confirmed status.

Yep, my build is now confirmed for the w/c 7th November.

Ordered through CVL the Monday all the deals were released.

I ordered the Tuesday, but looks like mine is a month later. Guess it's down to when the dealers put the orders through.

Is yours a DSG as it looks like there are a large number of DSGs being built early in November and manuals later in the month?

Mine was week 51 but been given a new order number today and now confirmed 7th November week 45

I received my order number a week ago and when I enquired on live chat was told build week 5th December, lease company resent me my order number yesterday for some strange reason with an added line to say it's scheduled for build week 23rd January!

Fingers crossed for December build.

Just re checked on live chat , my provisional build date has moved from Jan 2017 forward to Build week 48, 28th November! Great news !

Mines gone from build week 50 to 46 and I ordered on the 5/10. Maybe get an early Xmas present after all!
