Yep that was one of the reasons I went with the deal....well apart from the great price!! Bit annoyed that I don't think I'll see it this year as my build week is provisionally 28/11
This is one of the main reasons I just bought used private cars for the last number of years. Cut out these people. My date is the same I think. Should be good when it arrives...JTsp33d said:
From what I've heard the tracker doesn't change from the 2nd stage until 2-3 weeks from the build slot. Mine is the same but have a provisional build of week 49.
Looks like your and my cars are about the same place in the queue. Did you also order from Dave at Aylesbury VW?johnwilliams77 said:
Also CVL here
What are the rules for cancelling the order? Lose the admin fee? Rather go elsewhere than give business to people who lie
The CVL order confirmation form says £360 cancellation fee and you would also lose the admin fee of £180. £540 down the drain. What are the rules for cancelling the order? Lose the admin fee? Rather go elsewhere than give business to people who lie
It also states that delivery timescales are just estimates provided by the supplying dealer and CVL can't be held responsible for delays.
The final form I signed said delivery Nov-Dec but always expected it to be more like Jan as I was in the market for a GTI anyway and various dealers had quoted me lead times of 3-4 months. Still doesn't excuse CVL or VW from being over optimistic in their delivery times to get the sale though!
Even with the new face lifted version on the horizon and late delivery I am still amazed at what a bargain we are getting.

I think it works out for me at £200pcm (2.4k first payment), 5000miles which is more than enoughIt also states that delivery timescales are just estimates provided by the supplying dealer and CVL can't be held responsible for delays.

Quite good
I don't think it's CVLs fault. I ordered mine via VW. After I ordered I decided to test drive one at the dealer about 10 days ago. The business manager is under the impression the cars will be with me by the end of November start of December. I'd love the car soon but I don't think it's going to happen. I'm sure VW are telling the lease companies the same story.
This might not interest all but just watched a little compare vid by YouTuber Shmee on the current Golf GTi & R. I must confess I didn't watch past the GTi bit having already been in a R, but something to fill the coffee break.
