Hope this isn't a true representation from VW chat of how long to expect to wait for delivery.............
"Your confirmed build week is 46 (14th Nov)
After build, we estimate 1 week to get it from the factory to the port, 2 weeks to get through the Port and onto a ship, 2 weeks to get to the UK, 2 weeks to clear the port in the UK, then 1 week to transport to your Retailer and the Retailer to get it registered and do all the checks they need to do.
I think I should have also said it can take up to 2 weeks to actually build the car. A realistic estimated date of delivery would be around the 23rd of January, 10 weeks after the confirmed build date."

My current GTD was about a month from build date to collection."Your confirmed build week is 46 (14th Nov)

I seem to remember reading on here about a members previous build, on the breakdown of the build stages it arrived with him a month after the build.
Possibly luck of the draw given the amount of variables when it comes to shipping.
Doubt Christmas will speed that process upPossibly luck of the draw given the amount of variables when it comes to shipping.

Yep I'm down for 28/11 on the tracker now. Had previously been told 05/12 on the Live Chat.
Same for me, live chat was w/c 5th tracker now showing 28/11.It's probably been covered on here before but to save me scrolling back, I ordered through NVS and the car is going to VW in Newcastle, will they deliver to me or is it my job to collect? Are there costs involved? (I'm in Derbyshire)

Depends on what was stated in your contract when you signed up in terms of delivery costs. Mine is with CVL and is free delivery. I would imagine yours will also be free as most are, but double check with NVL to be certain. I'm in Derbyshire also but mine is going to Cardiff VW.

Has anyone had a good deal for 10k miles per year recently?
A few pages back recommended NVS on £2.4k down and £141 per month - this is amazing but can't find it myself.
Link/phone number appreciated :-)
All these GTI deals were only available for a few days at the start of October. Guess they were trying to shift all the old parts before the face lifted version. Doubt you will find anything as cheap now.A few pages back recommended NVS on £2.4k down and £141 per month - this is amazing but can't find it myself.

i'm build week 48 too 28/11.
I'm hoping the new facelift gti doesn't come with a power increase...but then again, it probably wont be available at the dirt cheap prices either. fingers crossed
It's a shame that VW don't offer the performance pack upgrade as a dealer fit option, without the diff. I'm sure it's just a map tweak and a freeer flowing air filter for the power gains.I'm hoping the new facelift gti doesn't come with a power increase...but then again, it probably wont be available at the dirt cheap prices either. fingers crossed
