anyone had there initial 7.2 ppm honoured yet ?
Anyone had any answers to this yet; my quote from a dealer was 7.2p but I know my application went in after the cut off date people have mentioned! Will make a big difference to me as factored in going over by 20-30K and was cheaper to pay the excess at the 7.2p.hursty999 said:

This all could have been avoided in the first place if they had just informed us that the excess had changed rather than leaving it until he paper work had come through.
Well that's different to what I heard. I've spoken to Scott a couple of times and he says that there is no chance of being moved back to the 7.2p//mile and I'm waiting to get a quote on 12K a year and he hopes there will be a discount if I pay for the mileage up front but I'm still waiting to hear!! Getting a little fed up and need to know so I can sort something else out if I need to.
I also spoke to CVL today but couldn't get hold of Keith who has been dealing with my order.
Spoke to someone in the Admin department who was pretty useless to be honest, but the message I seem to be getting is that there is no chance of getting it amended.
Out of interest who is the supplying dealer for you guys? Mine is Sinclair VW Cardiff.

I'm getting close to cancelling at this rate, especially with all the conflicting info.

He said he was hopeful mine would be sorted also and a manager would be calling me let me know what's what.

Has anyone who has gone with CVL received any paperwork yet? Mine landed in the country last Friday so it shouldn't be long now.So wait an see really. I have heard of people with Golf R's calling up mid term, requesting extra mileage and getting it @ 50% of the excess mileage rate (for them 3.6ppm, but for us looking like 5.4ppm), what does anyone reckon the chances of VWFS doing that now that excess have gone up?
If we get our rates backed to 7.2ppm I'd say no chance of a discount , 10.8ppm might have a chance. If my order confirmation had been correct in the first place I'd have missed the 9am price increase , I wonder if my chain of emails will sway the ppm. Incorrect car details at 4.10am, wrong price per month at 6.46am ,finally all correct at 9.01am.
If cerbfan can let us know how he gets on with increasing mileage and pre-payment we may have choices.
It now seems the deal was too good to be true if planning on more than 10k over 2 years. It's still cheap for what you get but leaves a bitter taste.
Was wishing I'd signed a month earlier on a leon cupra st. That was 24 x £234 with 8kpa , extra at 7.2ppm...but reading forums I believe these cars are delayed.
We'll be putting around 30k on the car so going to make sure we use it.
We're also getting supplied by Sinclair Cardiff but still at build 28/11. Another white DSG with no extras.

I also nearly got a Leon Cupra ST, only to wait and see the GTi deal. Although reading the Seat lease thread there seems to be some grumbles on build quality, so not feeling to hard done by. They also had problems with the excess being raised during the orders, most had that sorted by the end though.
Right I've just got this sorted out by bypassing CVL as they just don't come back to you and going straight to the fleet department of the dealer that my car is coming through in my case Marshall VW in Newbury. He phoned VW and confirmed that it was an IT mistake and the new paperwork should be with me today with the 6p/mile excess on it, if I get it sent back today the car should be with me this time next week. It took me 5 minutes to call and sort it out so why CVL couldn't do that I've no idea. Think in future I'll just go direct to a dealer!!!

Ruggerz, I emailed Sinclair last week asking about insurance and they haven't replied. Maybe worth keeping note of the dealers who are willing to help for future deals.
Now 'in transit' so won't be that long for paperwork or delivery.

News for all orders via Sinclair in Cardiff.
Just spoke to a chap there who was surprisingly helpful.
As it stands my excess is still showing at the 7.2ppm. However he did say this is likely to change once the contracts have been sent out but counldnt say for certain because the system won't let him see it until the car has arrived in the U.K.
He said if my rate does go up it will be to 6.8ppm plus vat (8.1ppm), which is lower than what I thought it would be as others on here have been quoted 9ppm plus vat.
So as it stands it doesn't sound to bad, still not the 7.2ppm but at 8.1ppm I think I can live with it.
He also said that the excess rate would not change for the duration of the contract.
Hope that helps some people out.
Anyone else with a CVL order I would recommend contacting your supplying dealer rather than wasting time with them, that phone call took me 5 minutes to sort out.
Lastly he is also hopeful of a pre-Xmas delivery pending which boat it makes it on.

Also in terms of delivery/collection options from Sinclair, they offer a free of charge delivery with a delivery driver driving it to your place of choosing.
The 2nd option is a £250 + vat delivery by flatbed truck.
Finally collection in person with a full tank of fuel thrown in for free, however the mileage you then drive is taken off your allowance.
If the dealer wasn't so far I would be tempted with collection myself but will probably end up with the free delivery, unless I can put a deal together that involves waving the delivery mileage if collected....
