The seats with the stitching are the upgraded ones, anyone seen / have a pic of the standard S5 seats?
They are standard, their are no other seats options in the UK market

Retro fit of the privacy glass is not a viable option - Audi just gave me pricing of 900 for the glass and with fitting looking at more like 1300. Given its less than 400 at the factory it really is not worth doing it this way.

Nick nice pics thanks. One point is that if it hasn't had PDI could well still have transport blocks on hence larger wheel arch gap?

It's not quite as good but a window tint would do the same job for £200 or so. I did this on my company car as privacy glass was not an option.

Ive seen one with 19s and asked if the blocks had been removed and they had. The wheels do sadly leave a sizeable gap in the arches

Am I going to be the first to cancel my order? Mine is on route to the dealer but about to pull the plug. Plan to re-order in a different spec. Having seen a few S5 in the metal now it has confirmed i specced wrong. Lead times are now 4 months so not too long a wait anyway

I'm on stage 1 of 9. Order date is only 30/11. Not sure when I should start to see some progress?!

Do you chaps declare all of these factory fitted options to your insurer?
No need IMO, as they are factory fitted options.

Just set your GAP insurance sum insured to the list price of the vehicle including all options (this value should be on your order form), (and don't forget to also insure the initial payment amount if you have taken a multiple upfront payment lease profile as its peanuts to cover), and you should be sorted biggrin
Cheers and noted.

ah thanks. I have a 335d x drive m sport + and the gap is known to be large on this even with 19's as it has SE suspension. I've heard that sometimes the suspension settles down over time. I've certainly seen this on my current car - heres hoping for the s5

Thats the reason I didnt buy a 335d x drive. How have you found it handling wise

For me its been terrific but I am a boring London driver @ <7k miles a year, however admittedly its somewhat wobbly in the corners when pushing on, but i've heard that its easily solved with some tinkering (handling and ride height) ACS springs. Or the LCI update fixes things. Will miss the crazy amounts of torque but looking forward to some octane smile

Yeah that was my experience from a test drive. I drove a 330d m sport straight after and it was noticeably better resolved.

What spec S5 you gone for?

indeed mate. Just the default spec black, red leather + virtual cockpit. I rushed to do the order when I got the email from Solent leasing in a few hours!. Perhaps I would have added a few more bits but the huge boot is what had the wife approval with a 1 year old son, the amount of stuff he has is crazy.
I won't drive much really, I cycle more but looking forward to it defo - ETA March but I need to get audi number from Solent, still waiting on them.

Have eventually managed to order an S5 coupe with delivery around the beginning of March. I've gone for black with black interior, and..

Privacy glass
Hill hold assist
Flat bottom steering wheel
Light & Vision pack (includes virtual cockpit, extended LED interior light pack and Matrix lights)

Still undecided with the HUD, I nearly ordered a 640d M Sport and would have added the HUD after driving one.

Tamworth Audi have a black S5 in the showroom which I'm hoping to to go and have a look at soon but have got these pics.

Yeah agreed I have it on my current car. It's weird that those amazing seats with massage function are standard but tinted glass it an option on an s variant. If I could I would add it on at this point.

That's very similar spec to mine except I didn't go for the carbon interior.

If you get to see it could you take more pics? I am yet to see one in person. Thanks

I can't believe hill hold assist and electric folding mirrors are also options! Bith came as standard on my E Coupe.
