Oh and just spotted in this months Evo magazine...

1. Review of the S5 Sportback
2. Group test of S5 coupe vs BMW 440i M Sport vs Merc AMG C43
Good find I will have to get it, going on holiday Thursday so something to read on the plane!

I was expecting that the RS will go to twin turbos?
There are two rumors from Audi dealers for the new RS5: Either the Porsche Panamera 4S engine, or an up rated S5 engine. BTW the S5 has a twin scroll turbo anyway. IMHO the Porsche engine sounds the better option.

Just checked on My Audi to make sure that my build date hasn't changed (20th Feb) and noticed that it says the tyres are 245/35x19.

According to the online configurator the Cavo design alloys come with 255 section tyres but there's no mention of Cavo alloys on the spec of my car.

Anyone else seeing this on their Sportback?

I'm assuming it's just a typo as I'm expecting the car to come with Cavo alloys (Don't like the other choice of alloy!)
My S5 Sportback spec sheet emailed from the dealer shows:
V89 19" x 8.5J '5-spoke Cavo' design alloy wheels, contrasting grey, partly polished with 255/35 R19 tyres.

When I ordered a few weeks ago there was no wheel option, but I am happy with the Cavo anyway.

Myaudi build shows the tyre size to be 245/35 R19 which is the same spec as the turbine Wheels :s certainly hope they haven't changed the spec? The original alloys show 255/45 R19
I contacted Sheffield Audi about this a few weeks ago as mine also showed the incorrect alloys. I was told that the configurator is wrong and I should ignore and tha the cavo wheels will be the ones fitted.

The Porsche engine is the twin turbo variant of the S5 engine as far as I am aware. Twin turbo, lower compression ratio and displacement but same engine otherwise.

And until somebody tunes the S4/S5 we won't know the limits of the single turbo on that engine, might be it's no good for more than 400hp.

I would also hope that the RS is nearer 500hp than the Pan 4S is given what Merc do. Maybe they will put the TT V8 in it with 520 like in the S8? Although rumour has it the S8 figures seem that it's actually the RS6/7 tune.

Yes, I would hope the new RS5 has 500 HP plus. I really wanted a new RS5 Sportback but had to settle for the S5 as my old lease was up for a new replacement. I have a friend who has an S5 coupe and is looking at professional ECU mapping to give more HP, but nothing is available yet as they are all on R&D at the moment. Will post when Dyno figures are released. I would imagine something IRO 420 HP is possible without hardware changes.

Have you tried the detailed hack link? smile when you check your Audi and login just go to https://www.audi.co.uk/myaudi-public-api/services/...

This gives loads of detail including order status number. Put into a json viewer and it will look clearer
Thanks mate. Just done it and it still shows 245/45x19 tyres and no mention of Cavo alloys...

I've just sent an email to Fleetsauce but I'm 99% the car will come with Cavo wheels since this was the only option available when I ordered...

You may want to contact Audi UK live chat or your dealer, my tracking page still shows status 38 (Left Ingolstadt) since the 2nd. However on Monday I got a call from my Dealer saying it's in the U.K. and they should have it tomorrow. Not picking it up until the 3rd March though.
I would contact the dealer but last time I did for some other information as soon as they realised i went through a broker they fobbed me off saying contact them. Also when I call my dealer they tell me the same thing its expected to arrive Mid March. I just wanna find out if is in the UK! Getting rather impatient now!

Just checked my config via the same link and I have the same wheel code.

Just googled the code, which took me to this site, so looks like we def have the Cavo wheels, which is good..:

SIMON - Have you worked out how to connect your myaudi app to the car yet... I have created the account and linked my vin number. It gives me the code to enter into car but when I do it, it just says server error or something like that,

The audiconnect is running properly as I have internet in the car without connecting my phone ( Things like google earth and street view work properly) It just won't connect to my phone... Also it fails when I try and select the data plan option.

Sorry mate - only just seen this. How did you sort it all? Easy process? What does it give you?

Just unlocks all the audi connect stuff in the car and links it with your phone. We get 36 months free audi connect and usually tenner a month so.worth using.

App can be used to for remote locking and for locating car when your lost. Also shows all servicing stuff and fuel. Haven't tried it yet but you can you google maps to send a destination to your car... so.if your planning a trip you can do it from your phone/laptop and it will.be set up in your car.

Process wasn't to hard (now I know how!)

Download the audi connect app.

Create an account on it for myaudi

Then go to Audi connect in car

Select audi connect management (or something like that.

Enter your email address exactly how you set it up on myaudi.

Then use the code that is on the spare key (have to scratch it to reveal)

Think that's about it.

My black coupe was delivered this morning and I am absolutely delighted with the quality of the car.
It looks so much better in the flesh!

I have only driven 12 miles to work this morning but it's really enjoyable to drive, very pokey with a nice noise coming from the engine - Not loud but enough to let you know it's a high performance car.

I'll pop a review on here once I've had a bit of time with the car.

Awesome! Would love to see some pics too! When did you place your order? Did it arrive early or the time they estimated?
