Something rather strange happened. Went to the gym and came back to my car to find the boot open nothing taken no signs of car being broken into.. i dunno if i could have pressed the button on the key while i was in the gym?! Should i be worried??

For the amount of glass it actually affects on the coupe, I wouldn't bother. The door glazing takes up far more area than what they tint. Bear in mind I couldn't justify it on a black SB though.
+1. Do you actually have rear-seat passengers on a regular basis?

However, I've always thought privacy glass looks cack on all cars, all the time. Hopefully the fad will pass... smile

We'll agree to disagree then.

I do have rear seat passengers reasonably often. I am unconvinced it improves the look of a non-black car. If the windscreen and front sides were tinted, then it would be a different thing but I am unsure of the mismatch between the glasses.

Sadly ive deleted the pics from my phone of a DG S5 coupe with privacy and an S-Line DG one without.

Nav Blue with. Not like for like pics so doesnt make it easy but at least something to compare. Having seen an S5 in Daytona Grey with privacy I can assure you it looked amazing.

Thanks for all the input guys.

I'm still in 2 minds to be honest. I can't work out if I like it or think it looks tacky. From the rear I like it particularly with the front windows down. It's side on with the windows up I'm not sure about. Like TomScrut said, the glass doesn't match. Also it seems to cut the car into 2 sections, front and back which I'm not sure I like.

Look at the side pictures here...

Personally think the rear tints are too dark and make the car side view look odd, so not specced it myself.
Horses for courses tho.

You have your decision then - if you have doubts like you do, dont spec the privacy. Worst case you can always tint it later

No problem, I know I'm in the minority with this.

Yes you do. The car needs to be returned the same as supplied unless you have agreed any accessories to remain.

Zooom I've tried to email you details of someone who would more than likely be able to do you a better deal but your profile says that you don't accept emails. I can't put the dealers details on here as they do not allow their details to be published on forums apparently.

I sort of get your point with the coupe side windows, but the SB does not have the same 2 part effect IMO. Thing is if I had a coupe I would worry about bleaching the rear seats in the sun over time. Have had this happen before and it looks horrible.
