Guys...I have a question regarding the exterior mirrors of the s5 Sportback. Can the exterior mirror housing be folded manually by hand if i don't have the auto folding option? I want to see if the car will fit in my garage...Folding the mirrors will really help.

Thanks
Hi, yes they do.

Are you sure it's not for the stereo? My dad's old 98 A4 Avant had the sub behind a bootside trim.
Easy to test, play some music and rev the car with no music and get some to be near the speaker

WELL DONE! Yes, it is a base speaker. What a really odd place to put it, in front of the battery and under the spare wheel and boot floor cover. Question is now does it double up as a exhaust amplifier as well!!!????

I think that's just a regular subwoofer. Pretty standard place to put it, as bass frequencies from a sub aren't directional.

B8 S4 and S5 have a vibrating "sound actuator" bolted to the bulkhead. Drive Select menus for "Engine Noise" let you put it in "comfort" or "dynamic" in individual mode, or if you're me you just pull the fuse to it. smile

Question: Do the B9 cars have "Engine Noise" as an option in Drive Select?

My car is still at grimsby. The deals are still the same. So the noise conversation is quite interesting to me tbh.

Surely it is on topic. This thread has always been about leased s5's. Including whats good and bad. What to expect from your s5's and what to be aware of. Not just about current lease deals and delivery times.

I agree, especially since quite a few people have theirs or will be getting theirs in the next week or so. The Golf R thread (only other specific model lease thread I am following) is very similar.

I agree too.

The idea was to have a thread where people taking up the S5 lease offer could waffle about the car's features, the spec they ordered, the endless waiting for them to arrive (granted, I didn't know about that bit when I started the thread!) the actual cars when they arrive and their opinions on them, lies/dislikes, etc. to keep it off the main lease offers thread.

I'm probably more guilty than anyone of taking it off topic due to my rantngs about the delays and then deciding to cancel and buy a BMW instead.

Anyone have any information regarding the credit checks Audi will do for leasing the S5? Spoke to a gentleman at contract cars and he said they expect me to earn the value of the car in a year, so around 47k, or have an excellent credit score? What would constitute as an excellent credit score?

Also I'm 23 and have only been working for around a year.

Has anyone had their SB delivered yet? Did it come with the Cavo alloys or the Turbines?

Unless you have made a lot of money very early on in life, or are earning enough that you have sufficient spare cash lying around, my personal opinion would be that you probably shouldn't be spending money on expensive cars at your age, especially if you've only been working for a year.

Again, i don't know anything about your financial position or income levels ( and don't want to know), but your question itself gives me some indication (whether rightly or wrongly) where you may be.

I hope I haven't said anything out of line, just trying to give out some food for thought that's all..

Got to equifax.co.uk and find out your score. To be excellent you will need to have no unserviced debt and demonstrate a record of receiving and servicing credit across various lending (mortgage, load, credit card)

UK Average is 380, categorised as Fair. 400-500 Good, 500+ Excellent.

Build date of 27th of March tracker shows 'Assembly' stage at the moment, Audi dealer thinks it may be here in 3 weeks...after reading some of the comments here, I can only hope.

TBH I really doubt it. Most likely they would want a guarantor a the very least. Also, the insurance would be horrendous at under 25....Had you considered that as well??
